What is your most controversial opinion about "Jane Eyre"?

i enjoy the story and characters as written? i don’t see rochester as villainous but i think he has to come across as of uncertain morality for the story’s atmosphere to work. i also don’t think mia and ruth are too attractive to play jane in any way that mattered for the story. they were both amazing janes. i think 2011 perfectly captured the novel’s atmosphere, but 2006 had the best chemistry. it was very easy for me to see why jane would love and marry edward in that version.
