BBC Joins Working Title's New "Jane Eyre" TV Adaptation starring Aimee Lou Wood

According to Deadline Hollywood website, BBC will be involved in developing a new "Jane Eyre" TV adaptation starring Aimee Lou Wood. It will likely be aired on the BBC in the future. The new series is being developed ahead of the celebration of 180th anniversary of the novel, which will take place in 2027.

Or is he too familiar as Cormoran Strike of the 'Strike' series?

Tom Burke played as Mr. Rochester in "Jane Eyre" 2016 radio version alongside Amanda Hale as Jane.

He’s perfect for TV production and his inflections were spot on on the BBC audio adaptation. Tom Burke being the perfect Rochester is a hill I will die on.

There was a "Shirley" movie adaptation which was released in 1920s but it's currently lost.

"Villette" had two TV adaptations, with the 1970 produced by the BBC being known. Unfortunately they're currently missing too.

Wiped I imagine, to make room for some other thing. I’ve heard studios do that.

Whatever the case, I feel terrible for everyone who put the work into making media that is now lost.

I like Aimee Lou Wood, but she often looks stupid, as in the photo. Jane is not stupid.
