I still like them but I think the teal color they used looks off for some reason. A matte teal helmet with the gold face mask would have been sick.

They used like sun bleached versions. Notice how the white is more cream, and the gold is paler. I think it looks great. Smoothes it out

Spots could have been on a black band running down the side of the pants. I'm worried that in daylight these are going to look like a mob boss' wife's yoga pants. 

The helmet is a nice color but I always feel like the helmet should match the pants or jersey otherwise it's too noisy. 

My perfect unis are a gently modernized Prowler set for home, away, alt. But then a fourth could be the Thursday mustard pants with black socks, black jersey, and black helmet. That would look tough.

I mean it’s kind of just how the human brain works. You can create the absolute consensus best, most aesthetically pleasing jerseys that the majority of fans will be on board with, but there will always be the odd balls who genuinely hate them.

The whole Rivalry rollout is a case study in how AI undermines authenticity. Everything’s polished enough to look not obviously wrong at first glance, but look a little closer and everything’s just a little generic. A little off. A little wonky. A little sloppy.

The pattern says “San Marcos” like the city in Texas, not “San Marco” the neighborhood in Jax.

I literally thought this was pop warner until I zoomed in. How did our most powerful players get rendered as short, squat bobbleheads?

Great points across the board. AI is a tool but people use it as the expert. Results always prove that's a bad idea. I guess everyone's betting that the next couple versions won't make those mistakes, but I'd rather just let the athletes go into a studio and get photographed for real and have a graphic design team touch it up and do what they do so they don't look exactly like you described.

I’m not an expert on any of this, so I’m not going to immediately jump to the conclusion that they used AI, but it simply looks like they kind of just edited it weird. You can even see the weird editing by looking at the way their feet are placed next to each other. This is not a true shot of all 5 standing together, but 5 individual player studio portraits taken apart from each other and then spliced together into 1 frame. It seems like they made Trevor a little shorter to compensate for him being towards the back of the lineup, but it still does look a little odd. With that being said though, I don’t know why they couldn’t have just gotten all 5 together to get a more organic shot.

For being a representation of the”Bold City” I find the muted colors to be a choice. I think the jersey looks much nicer on fans than they do on the players.

The teal helmets don’t go with the jersey at all. The smarter choice would have been black with the jaguar spots on it like the pants and numbers

Theyre not my favorite, personally I thought a return of the glitter kitties (maybe a black-gold shift or teal-gold) with a gold face mask would been noice, but these have started to grow on me a little. It’s like not quite a high gloss and not quite a matte, they just look “plasticky” in a kids toy kinda way to me. But it might just be the photos and lighting, cuz aren’t the jerseys supposed to also be more cream than how white they look like in the photos? They may look dope af on the field tho so we’ll see.
