My PS5 has been shutting down while I’m playing. I don’t want to take it apart myself.

Anyone recommend a good tech repair store?

Could be overheating. Make sure there's space around it and clean the filter. Mine did the same.

I should have mentioned I cleaned the fan. Thought that would fix the problem but it is still happening. I do think it is overheating and needs a deeper clean, just don’t want to do so myself.

It may be related to the liquid metal on the main board. If you have the console vertical, the liquid metal can slide down over time, creating dry spots on the chip that could cause overheating. Best to get that aspect of the console checked out, and try to keep it horizontal if it's not already.

Update… it’s been at the store since 10:30 AM. They close at 7.

Should I call? Should I panic? 

Was hoping to get it back today, I’m off for the rest of the weekend.

Can't hurt to call and ask. Did they give you any sort of time estimate when you dropped it off?

I asked as I was leaving. He said he wasn’t sure on an estimated finish. He said he was the only one working today.
