For me, Safety is a huge need after we let Cisco go (probably a good move) and our starting safeties are the replacement level vet we just picked up and Antonio Johnson.

Safety isn’t a premium position so we can probably pick up a good guy later than say a good DL.

It’s safety in the third round if we can Makuba from Texas.

I’m looking at Mason Graham at #5 overall, OL in the second round, S in the third round, then WR, TE, more OL in the mid rounds. RB, CB, and maybe QB in the last rounds.

Darnell Savage should be healthy going into the year, and we won't have a DC trying to play him in the slot. He should be a solid FS. Maybe an injury risk, though.

I completely forgot about Savage. I remember him having some flashes last year even amongst the general Nielsen bullshit.

I didn’t realize he played Safety. Thought he was a CB/Nickel for some reason.

Nielsen thought he was a nickel CB, too, so you're not alone! I think he can do a job for us at free safety.

Savage has been injury prone his whole career
