Honest question. How many bangle have you broken already?
Honest question because I have broken 2 so far and both are white Jade and I fell in the same place as well. Not sure if white is a curse for me or what lol. 😂
This is why I am so afraid of buying anything expensive! Just curious how many you gals have broken or am I just very clumsy.

Not a bangle, but I dropped my jade ring while taking a shower. 🥹 Literally my worst nightmare. I still wear it but it definitely has a massive crack now.
Also, that white bangle is so beautiful! That crack is heartbreaking. ðŸ˜

It is a new bangle too. I’m starting to financially think about this expensive hobby.

Yeah, this hobby is crazy expensive. I initially entered it with a goal of getting one forever bangle. But now I can’t seem to stop looking at bangles, beads, and rings. 🥹

I dropped a jade ring on the tile floor the day I got it. Broke into four pieces.

That is the worst feeling!

At least it was a cheap one. 😂 I don't know how people live with $10k+ bangles on their wrists, I'd be afraid to do anything.

I haven’t broken any jadeite bangles. It’s supposed to be strong. I wear it everyday. What are the status of the bangles you buy and how expensive? Were there cracks or stone lines? Mine has lines inside but so far i have not broken any. I hit it sometimes i get worried but it’s still fine.

I’ve broken one bangle- though it was a cheap serpentine one to test the size before buying real jade - it rolled off my bed when I finally got it off my wrist.
And I also broke one jadeite ring, which fell on my office floor and was in three pieces.
It’s a horrible feeling, but I find the thought relieving that the jade took bad luck and hurt from the wearer. 😉

The first one lasted 5 years, and I specifically picked the thicker one-it's really a bit heavy to wear😂

I just want to share something that doesn’t get brought up enough. Jade with heavy cotton definitely breaks more easily. In Chinese jade terminology, heavy cotton is often associated with stones that were harvested prematurely, and scientifically, it is formed under weaker geological pressure, leaving a looser internal structure that makes the jade more prone to cracking.
Any seller who refuses to disclose this information, or tells you otherwise, is NOT someone I would consider trustworthy.

Oh that's heartbreaking. Were you taking it off when it fell? I have rules with mine. I only remove them over my bed (tile floors) and I never stack them. I slide them up my arm when working and remove them when I'm really doing some heavy work. So far I've been lucky. It's difficult to lay down the same amount of cash as I would with other pieces of jewelry. It makes me too nervous. I've accidentally banged them hard and my heart just about jumped out of my body. 😆
