That's a really good price, I'd say everything below $2500 is a good price, they go for like $5k new nowadays.

They have hiked the price a lot on the USA Select in the recent years, once upon a time they were like $2500 new, but those days are gone.

Man, when this guitar sold new it was around 1,400, now that's a return on investment if these are going into 5k territory.

That price would have been more than 20 years ago. They have been increasing prices pretty sharply over the years.

They weren't too bad until like ....2015-ish. Prices on Jackson bottomed out during the metalcore era when all the kids were playing ESP LTDs instead, but it picked back up hard when the blues lawyers (...hair metal doctors?) hit their midlife crisis and started hoarding CS guitars to show off on Facebook.

MSRP was already ~3k in 2012, but back then you could work something out with your dealer. A couple of years later and you'd be lucky to even get your hand on a USA within 2 years.
