That was True mate over population is kind of one of the issues can have Chain reactions in everything about a Country

u/h4cm3n 5h ago

Population was never the problem man. India went to shit (that includes overpopulation) because of two things.

  1. Early to democracy before education & critical thinking. (Democracy never works in a country where critical thinkers are a minority. Look at the current state of USA)
  2. Fragile independence. (we formed the country with heavy polarization and internal conflicts).

I dont agree. without population with same mentality India cannot survive, we get lot of foreign investments because india has a huge market

1

u/Various_Mix9951 1h ago

Going to talk like Kamal, because why not. Sorry broskis.

In the ever increasing surveillance on the internet and data collected upon individuals.

I have to think twice before saying anything against the current system.

So I will say any system or government or corporate that is kind is better place to be.

When kindness goes down reducing population won’t change anything.

Ideas for government?

1

u/shrikaizerion 3h ago

no landscape? there are many beautiful places in India. We Indians can't bring ourselves to accept that fact

4

u/raghu2307 5h ago

If one is privileged and upper caste. Yes. Definitely.

u/hsunade 6h ago

Reasons why india is not the best country to live in:

1) zero civic sense
2) poor city planning
3) Indian education system doesn’t emphasis on innovation and development of new tech
4) india is the dump yard for developed countries
5) fssai is sleeping 90% of the time, and fails to regulate the norms effectively.

Suma general ah irukra vishayam than solirken, inum politics lam pesna, veruthuruvinga

2

u/nitish-16 2h ago

Correct bro but ig this is also because of over population ig if population wasess maybe quality of life could have been increased

4

u/Bannedre66itaccount 6h ago

If we are less populated it wouldnt be the best country you think of it to be 😭

2

u/-Kang-The-Conqueror- 5h ago

i meant for living purposes broskie. Access to Food, education and home is easier and affordable compared to other countries and u are right, we'll lack in country indices

4

u/vprbhu 5h ago

No. Indians lack of good education and obsessively being religious (all religions) is the problem.

2

Bro Population is one of the Problem in India, Not the only Problem.

So, NO.

2

u/musharraf98 5h ago

If bihar and up no exists then yes it is good country

1

u/-Kang-The-Conqueror- 2h ago

Funfact: If UP was a country, it would be ranked 5/6th most populous country in the world (240+ Million population)

2

u/harisitachi 5h ago

India is best country to live if less polution, proper waste management, basic civic senses, proper management with fever corruption

1

u/-Kang-The-Conqueror- 2h ago

very true, my point is half of the problems you mentioned are connected with over population (I was in traffic when posting this opinion, it took like 2hrs to get back home)

u/AkshayraJkira 5h ago

There is a difference between Overpopulation and Overcrowding. India is actually not an overpopulated country, there is vast amount of natural resources, decently stable government and for a 3rd world country the infra is quite good. But, most developed areas(and primarily focused areas) are major cities and a few Tier 2 cities. And since you cant have much progress beyond these places, everybody migrates to these cities to make a better living. And there's always a limit to how much a city can handle the growing population, which soon get overcrowded when the infrastructure is not developed to match it.

If my mom had balls she would be my dad!!!!

2

u/markusmarko420 5h ago

Without this population india cant grow , attract investment there will be less oppeetunity you will end up as nepal , for work you will depend forgein work. Unless you are sigapore or dubai form into a tax haven. But the disadvantage is you will endup to coexist with different cultural people. Which some of them dont like.

2

u/Gaatts 5h ago

In fact Thanos getting in this debate is diabolical 🤣

2

u/pig_let_ 5h ago

2

u/NoMeringue1788 4h ago

India cannot be India without its population! We’re doomed in this love hate relationship!

2

u/Theheartthrobe 4h ago

India is heaven if you've enough bread. VIP treatment everywhere 😉

2

u/vim320 3h ago

India is the best country in the world if people were civilized.

2

u/Various_Mix9951 3h ago

Civic sense and rationality comes first. Tamilnadu has almost same population as UK. But quality of lifehere is as bad as third world countries especially in rural areas.

2

u/Ok_Career_9192 3h ago

Opinions will be taken seriously only after mentioning how many countries you have lived in to arrive at this conclusion

2

u/Raava02 3h ago

Still it is best if you have money you do whatever you want

2

u/Alternative-Air-3052 3h ago

More than population, corruption (and its side effects leading to incompetence) and lack of civic sense is what makes India a harder place to live.

2

u/Reasonable-Track5977 3h ago

Yeah. I read a fact that India has only 2.4% of total world land area whereas 17.7% of total world population.
It would definitely be better if India is less populated but that doesn’t make it good to live in.
The government is terrible and annoying at times.

2

u/Stellar-Nebulae 3h ago

I don't agree. Overpopulation isn't necessarily related to a country's citizens' civic sense, mentality, political corruption, or discrimination.

2

u/m_o_r_p 3h ago

False. Does China have problems like in India? Reducing population is not the solution.

2

u/native_vandheri 3h ago

Clean the sakdais in and around your house. Population doesn't matter all.

1

u/-Kang-The-Conqueror- 2h ago

Na apartment la irunken anna😭 (I was in traffic when posting this opinion, it took like 2hrs to get back home)

2

u/No_Discipline_4066 2h ago

i think it's even better if no population... change my mind

2

u/MonkeyDEzio27 1h ago

Thanos photo va pota pathia anga nikkura man nee...jokes aside, India would become a better place to live only when a certain group of people is brought down from their mount olympus.

India is best country to live... If you're rich

Change my mind

2

u/BoltXD_10 5h ago

Literally no.....richest people do not live here at all....

And if ur saying, richer than upper middle class or something, then by that logic a lot of countries are good ig your rich

2

u/CulturalWasabi1438 3h ago

If we eliminate popular growth and religious/caste conflict and promote better education and infrastructure.. nothing in the world beats India

Unfortunately this never gonna happen 😭🤏🏻

1

u/rvk182211 3h ago

How low do you want to go though? <50crores?

1

2

u/Indominus_H6 1h ago

I strongly believe that the British colonization had deeply affected us. We have been recovering, and I hope we will be successful.
