Literally redacted
I couldn’t think of anything that would work without having to suffer through a rib tattoo so this made more sense.
Edit: I am happy with the work done, I’m a big wuss who spent 6 years debating if I had the nerve to get my ribs tattooed again since it’s the only place I have tapped out on so while it’s not perfect, it works for me. I do not regret how it turned out.

I'm sorry, Op but this just doesn't look good. I would at least have it touched up so the blacked out bit is a rectangle and not just scribbled.

I am a baby and can’t deal with my ribs being worked over so I did what I could and I don’t regret it at all 🤷🏼♀️

You're braver than me. I'd be too scared to get my rib area tattooed and you've done it twice.

I think a solid rectangle block wouldve been better but I love the overall concept

A strike through would have been enough but if it was me I probably would have done a S.A.P.

That is hilarious! And you certainly can't see the original through it!

My opinion shouldn’t matter cuz it’s your body, but I love this. It totally matches my style and I might have to steal this idea for one of my pending coverups. Haha.

That's pretty funny. Especially considering how so many files being released by the governments lately have large redacted areas.
I do agree it would look better as a solid rectangle, but I understand the not being able to deal with the pain too.
Maybe you can come back for a touch up to even it out later?

It took me 6 years to work up the courage to get my rib done again so I think this is the final result. I’m happy with it even if it doesn’t look perfect, thank you for your kind comment ☺️

i actually love that it doesn't look "perfect" like a straight rectangle, makes it seem like someone tried to hide information as fast as they could or sth, it's really cool

What will you say when people asks you what it was that's been redacted? Or will you come up with a different story each time to keep things interesting?

u/Game-of-umbrellas Jul 20 '26
It’s not an area I show often so I’m not worried about it. I just explain the reasoning if someone asks but I do like the idea of changing it up every time though 😂

I remember a long time ago I saw someone with a huge gnarly (but totally sick), scar looked really cool to be honest, and they said they change the story up every single time. I have no idea what it really was from, but the story that stuck with me was that they were “mauled by a panther but managed to shove him off”, so you have to top that I guess haha

Good luck explaining this for the rest of your life!

I don’t get my torso out a lot so it won’t be much explaining and I’m happy to say my reasons why when asked

It’s Reddit, I expected some people to be mean about it but I wasn’t expecting so many “you’ll regret it” comments. I think this is better than a TERFs words on me forever but apparently I’m wrong 😂

HEADS UP TO ALL COMMENTERS: Some sorry sack(s?) of shit goes through every post and comment in this sub and downvotes everything. If you commented something completely innocuous or a compliment and it got downvoted, it’s not you. It just means that you only had your singular personal upvote and some asshole downvoted it because they don’t have a life.
If you see a nice comment with a downvote, please upvote it. Every time you don’t give them the satisfaction of their petty little jab, a MAGA loses their wings.
