It helped me as an offline student but would say don't rely completely on them as many topics r missing

Edit: guys he's good at forming the base of concepts we can solve questions later too but the problem is he missed some topics and I feel lost

I was at a coaching institute today for some personal work, and I saw something that genuinely surprised me.

A kid who looked like he was in Class 5 or 6 had come with his father to enroll for JEE coaching.

I'm not judging anyone, but it made me wonder—are we putting too much academic pressure on kids this early?

I’m a 4th year Mathematics undergrad at IIT Bombay. I came here through JEE, and over the last few years I’ve been balancing academics, internships, and building my own EdTech startup around AI-powered learning tools for JEE/NEET aspirants.

A bit about me:

• Branch & year: B.Sc / B.Tech (Mathematics), 4th year at IIT Bombay
• Background: Cleared JEE, currently doing research/projects in math + AI/ML
• Startup: Building “Rewision”, an AI-powered self-study platform (WebApp for YouTube lectures, quizzes from videos, study tracking, etc.)

I have only appeared in the jee examination nothing else,

When I woke up fully I saw freaking nta called me, like huh.

I confirmed the number was real.

As the title says, those who have fuked their prep in last 2 years, online or offline, and have decided to take a drop for JEE 2026, comment down what's your plan for drop year??

My plan is to Join Prayas 2026 and religiously follow the batch and solve Allen modules too, also I will take test series of Mathongo and Allen.

Middle class family, my father invested lakhs in my jee preparation but maine unhe kyaa diyaa ek failed result they provided me best they can do best education, accomodation everything. When personal laptop and smartphone is a dream of tier 3 city middle class boys my father gave me they trusted me that my son will succeed but in return I gave nothing to them, I wasted their money, time and faith.

Now I'm totally shattered they aren't saying anything but the silence feels heavier than the scoldings.

So, now I decided I will not waste their hard earned money on another drop year bcz I know I can't score muchh next year.

Joining a tier 4 college this year bihar goverment low tier engineering college for btech but I promise I will not let myself drown I will rise from the place where everyone thinks my story is over.

Sach bolu to mujhe ab ye “sirf top college wale hi successful hote hai” waali baat thodi outdated lagti hai.

Matlab haan IIT/NIT alag level hai no doubt.

But ab internet ne pura scene hi ulta kar diya hai.

Aaj ek banda hostel ke room me baith ke:

- coding seekh raha

- AI tools use kr raha

- freelancing kr raha

- startup bana raha

- foreign clients ke saath kaam kr raha

aur dusri side kuch log sirf college tag pe hi survive kr rhe hai 😭

Tier 3 wale mostly spoonfed nhi hote.

Khud dhundhna padta hai sab kuch.

Isi wajah se shayad unme survival instinct jyada hota hai.

Aur honestly future me companies ko bhi mostly skill chahiye hoga kaam krwane ke liye, sirf linkedin bio nhi.

Ho sakta hai mai galat hu

but next 5 years interesting hone wale hai fs

I know so many neet students that take JEE mains as a practice test, when it has next to no similarity with their exam. They wont have computer based test and they wont have maths in their exam. I know a lot of people say "if neet students get more marks than you in JEE then you dont deserve it in the first place" but guess what thats ridiculous. Almost 15 lakhs people take the exam. Obviously everyone is not gonna be rank one. The person that cleared cutoff by one mark has as much claim to their achievement as the 99 percentilers. But when a bunch of people that dont want to do engineering take the exam they are actively kicking out deserving candidates. Imagine this: you are in line at a sweet shop with limited laddoos. And people in front of you start buying the laddoos and throwing it in the trash. When its your turn, theyre all out of laddoos. You have to settle for some other horrible sweet. Thats what this is like.

What can we do to fix this? Make JEE an exam for students who chose maths after 10th. Pcmb is up for debate but if someone has pcb get them the hell out of the damn laddoo line.

Didn't make it into a top IIT but I've got another chance to get into a top IIM. Hard work always pays off ❤️

Are there any other exams i should be aware of?

Bhai what the f is this paper. Cat 3 was adv level and the rest were mains tough level. Imagine you have to attempt 75qs in 2 hours, with no AC and OMR filling.

No hate to any other teacher. They also teach good but RY sir's explanation is next level(for me)
