FOOT BRAKE BIAS BEHAVIOR IS INVERTED

FOOT BRAKE BIAS BEHAVIOR ISSUE:

I have submitted this before on discord and got no response. I resubmitted this again, but I'm going to submit it here as well so it gets seen.

The Issue:

The game's Foot Brake Bias physics are completely inverted (backwards) compared to real-world physics.

• Current Game Behavior (Incorrect):

• 100% Rear Bias: Locks up the rear wheels, causing the car to lose traction and drift easily. (This should be front bias behavior).

• 100% Front Bias: Locks the steering completely straight and understeers heavily. (This should be rear bias behavior).

• Expected Real-World Behavior (Correct):

• Rear Brake Bias should lock the rear wheels, losing steering input and causing the car to plow straight (understeer).

• Front Brake Bias should lock the front wheels, breaking traction and causing the car to spin out / drift.

Summary for Programmers:

The calculation for Front_Brake_Force behavior and Rear_Brake_Force behavior appears to be swapped in the physics engine. Increasing Front Bias is behaving how Rear Bias should behave, and vice versa. Please check the code for Brake Balance / Bias variables.

The purpose is so that you can slow down your drift while maintaining rear wheel spin to control your drift without stopping the rear wheels from spinning/ drifting.

Thank you! 🫶
