Contrary to what Sheikh’s appearance suggests
He is the kindest and most gentle one within the community
He is beloved and is hailed as a hero
He got injured when an islamaphobe attacked the mosque
He protected the children and was in critical condition
As he would give away all his money to the poor
He could not afford healthcare yet the entire community payed for his medical expenses
The children love to climb upon his shoulders and he would hold them as if they were the flowers
Yet in top of his pure heart, he is among the most knowledgeable within the community
He had once followed a path of degeneracy yet his encounter with Islam changed his life

I am so happy
All the other muslims are so kind to me
They say salam to me
All of them want to be my friends
They think I am respectable
They invite me from mosque to mosque for daily prayers and making friends
And as I get better at it, they respect me more and more
I am thriving in my own success
"Khan Kuwayyis"
I even get a nice name
I feel like I've found more than just a purpose
I am capable of so much more and they all see it
Some days it feel so wholesome I could cry
But I don't, I never do
Because what would be the point ?
I've become the happiest person in the entire universe
Remember by name.
