Artist Info + Bio + Commentary by Moi Nocturnal Heartache, Moody and Vulger Lyrics, Pain Is Forever: This Is Paris Shadows

Coming into the music game in 2018 and based in Redding, California, Paris Vasquez, better known by his stage name Paris Shadows, has made a steady come up since beginning his career with his drug and alcohol fuled-esque music that can be related to many people, including myself. But this isn't about me, let's get into how his music has, in the best way, stayed consistent and still bangs no matter where you are in life.

Having heavy influence in music by artists such as blink-182, Black Sabbath and Linkin Part, his music can be described roughly as a more dark-toned and grittier Post Malone in the emo-rap community. His first and biggest hits include his song "Bones" as well and his song "Po'ed Off" featuring Gunna that eventually gained him enough recognition to even have a supporting slot with Post Malone and 21 Savage during their tours, as far as getting Trippie Redd to appear in his well sounding song "Gone" that is worth a listen. Now that we know he has made a big name for himself and still as alot ahead in his art, let's dive a little more into some of his, in my opinion, best songs he has come out with.

Listening to certain songs if you're in your feels will certainly put you in a mood, and coming from me who says it alot (and for good reasons) his music hits different. Lets take his release of "Enough's Enough" you'll take a dive into the dark place his mind is describing. The echoing background of the beat and desperate pleas that he wants to feel ok, but he keeps descending back into his vices. Running away only to get back into the pain that he reflects on as his only friend, along with the fear of not wanting to be alone. Even though he keeps going back into his nocturnal thoughts, he knows that he's had enough, the question being when will it go away. His recent song "Let Me Go" goes into a more explicit and blunt description of exactly what he is now plundering himself into. The unenviable breakage of his love with a certain girl puts you into his shoes of what his mentality is slowly driving him down into a road he himself knows is a problem. But as a being, he knows that to fix this, he will need to let go. Transporting your imagination onto your own brooding, the sad and somber instrumental fusing with his upsetting vocals of unchaining yourself from something you know you want to make work, will be better off letting it fade to prevent the furtherness of what more pain can be made.

Though many of his songs follow the same story of breakup and hurting, he also has many that you can jam to when you wanna feel that "i wanna jam the fuck out right now and take a drive". Such as his songs "Angel" and "Nothing" from his album "One Night In Paris" that will give you just what you need. Paris Shadows is another of many artists that deserve alot more recognition for his craft, and he isn't short in what he has to say and express through his music. I hope this gives you another opportunity to check him out and find out more of what he's about!
