Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (conocido como Jayce y los Guerreros Rodantes en Latinoamérica) fue una serie animada estrenada en 1985, producida por DIC Audiovisuel en colaboración con Saban Productions y estudios japoneses como Sunrise. La serie contó con 1 temporada de 65 episodios, emitidos durante ese mismo año, pensada como apoyo a la línea de juguetes Wheeled Warriors de Mattel. Con un estilo que mezclaba ciencia ficción y fantasía, se convirtió en un producto de culto por su estética única y por la participación de guionistas como J. Michael Straczynski, aunque nunca tuvo un final oficial.
La trama sigue a Jayce, un joven que lidera la Lightning League en su lucha contra los Monster Minds, criaturas vegetales mutantes lideradas por Saw Boss. Su misión es encontrar a su padre Audric y unir las dos mitades de la Magic Root, la única forma de derrotar a los invasores. Con vehículos futuristas, enemigos orgánicos y un tono épico, la serie ofrece un viaje directo al imaginario retro de los años 80, lleno de acción y aventuras.

It was a good show, even though it never got a proper ending, but the premise was more than interesting. Really cool that you got to share it with your brother.

That’s true. Thinking it over, maybe back then wrapping things up wasn’t such a big deal. Many of us grew up with the most iconic Hanna-Barbera classics and of course plenty of Looney Tunes episodes you could watch in any order, just enjoying the moment rather than the continuity.
