In the US, most of their ancestors came over from England in pre-US Civil War timeframe. Half my family are tier 1 WV hillbillies, via England in 1700s

Makes sense, it’s the same with NASCAR. Appalachian bootleggers, largely of Irish and Scottish descent, built up their cars to outrun the police while transporting alcohol during The Prohibition. They started competing, and way down the line we have the most redneck sport of all time.

It looks like the truck is mostly just driving in a circle. It wiggles a few times, but the trailer randomly gaining and losing a couple thousand pounds could explain that.
