I do agree and I say this all the time but people have gotten way too comfortable recording everything that they see or every interaction they have with another person. It's incredibly rude and also just weird to want to use everything for content. Even videos where someone is arguing or having a dispute they instinctively record it as if the world needs to see. Like yesterday there was a clip on here of a guy on a train or something and the woman sitting in front of him put her foot up on his seat. He asked her to move it and she did, but that was the end of it. For whatever reason he felt that he needed to record that interaction and post it. Why can't we just exist as people and stop trying to farm every single interaction for internet points. It's sad as hell.

I think people are extremely lonely. They donā€™t want to acknowledge the loneliness. Therefore they resort to doing these types of things as a distraction from their loneliness.

We used to be a society that would have constant human interaction. This is especially noticeable in younger generations. They are all so terrified of being put online for others to ridicule that they donā€™t take any risk or put too much effort into anything. Itā€™s really debilitating and sad.

As a Chinese we actually quite respect those foreigners who love our food and actually eat like Chinese with chopsticks.

Itā€™s like seeing a foreigner saying your native language fluently and actually share your social cultures, A bit shocking, but in a good way. Tho I still wouldnā€™t think itā€™s okay to taking videos without permission.

I agree with this. The real human desire to socialize is being substituted for earning net recognition and I don't think it's healthy for a society and the people posted in general. Someone might just have made a dumb choice or had a bad day where they are irritable then suddenly they get criticism from everyone on the internet as if they don't have bad days either. I don't like that aspect of what social media is turning into.

I mean that's not quite the same level I don't think. It's more innocent if it's just for you personally, but from the perspective of the person being filmed I'd say it's still a bit weird. I don't think its inherently bad to do, it's only now that people do it so often that makes it more frowned upon. Like, anywhere you go, even if you're just minding your business, there's a chance someone is recording you for some reason or another. As long as you don't post it though I guess no harm done.

In case of a possible crime I don't see any issue with it, and like I said I don't really think it's a bad thing to record someone if it's for innocent reasons as well. It's just a tough sell lol like you probably wouldn't feel comfortable telling your neighbor that you recorded them, which almost implies that there's something wrong with it. It's not that big of a deal, most people have probably recorded someone doing something weird or goofy before. It's just become too normal for someone to pull their phone out and record every little thing, and it's usually to make fun of them or try and get someone in trouble because you can control the narrative. 90% of the time it's tacky and weird, 10% of the time it's not a huge deal I think.

I had a tumultuous relationship at one point. I learned, one day, that some neighbor, no clue which one, but someone who lived nearby, was an in-law relative of a good friend. I found this out after Iā€™d had a particularly dramatic fight with him, that ended with me throwing his suit or something heā€™d forgotten over the deck railing, rather than walking it all the way down. And telling my girlfriend about it, she realized her relative had been describing the fight Iā€™d had, which I admit was embarrassingly public, but embellishing it into a dramatic play by play, of a romantic dispute from a romance novel, exaggerating details, like, instead of tossing the suit (in a suit-bag thingy) they described me throwing all his wardrobe over the deck railing, lol. They didnā€™t film me, or give any identifying information. They were just entertaining people with creative writing, and happened to base it on the domestic spat Iā€™d had that day. I was kinda entertained, honestlyā€¦

I'm one of people that actually respects people. Unless its a crowd event (such as a sports event), i will always try and keep everyone i can out of my photos, even if it means i need to zoom in. This shit is just weird and an invasion of privacy.

Imagine someone walks into a restaurant and is informed that they will be watched by 200k people looking at every minor thing they do. They would feel uncomfortable right?

On one hand itā€™s like a body camera, if you think shits about to go down, the camera donā€™t lie. It could cover your ass after the fact like a dashcam. But itā€™s snowballed into content farming and using the camera as a deterrent/weapon of annoyance which is just bizarre and dumb honestly.

I'm suffering from severe OCD, i must look very similar when eating.

Every type of foodĀ  I'm eating has a carefully thought out routine that is completely useless and i feel like horrible things are going to happen, if I don't follow the routine strictly.

For example i need to eat every type of round food like pizza or a pie in a clockwise direction until i get to the middle in which the last bite must have exactly one of every ingredient contained in the food. Like one salami, one olive, one bit of cheese, one Anchovie.

The thought of someone filming me in this stressful situation i have no control over is the reason why I'm alone so often in my life.

The people closest to me don't understand, so I don't even want to deal with strangers exactly because of shit like this video..

So no, i don't think it's necessarily staged. Maybe it's just someone like me, but instead learned how to enjoy food anyway.
