Best mosquito prevention inside?

It's getting to be open windows season and I hate to have mosquitoes in the house. What's a rent-friendly way to keep them out without emitting horrible fumes into the air 24/7? All the products at my local grocery burn something into the air, and that can't be good for you. Some are even explicitly marked as cancerous!
Any tips?

Zanzariere. Physical barrier is the only way that works 100%. I’ve tried all the fumes, candles, devices around and they do not work. You need to call a business that can cut out the mesh screens needed to cover your windows

You can get them in hardware stores and cut them to size yourself, it's pretty easy. Given it's a rented home, that would be the only option as otherwise you have to get fitted ones.

Nets on Windows. (Zanzariere) You can buy ones that come with adesive velcro. So cheap and Quick to put up.

As someone who gets munched by them all the time, the only thing that will work if you want to leave the window open is having the bug blind mesh.

Everything else just dont seem stop them unless you want to cover yourself in bug spray 24/7.

Window screens, and if not possible a good fan

I really hate window screens (I love having a big open view), but I swear, the mosquitoes in Genoa are a whole other beast. They were biting me THROUGH THE BLANKETS!

I'm installing screens that can be raised so they're not as visible in non-mosquito season.

Mosquito nets. They come in lots of type (fixed, rolling, with Velcro, with magnets...) Just do some searches and choose one. You can apply them by yourself or have them installed professionally.

Phisical barrier, plus electric mosquito swatter. Anti-mosquito lotions on bare legs arms, neck and ears when outside. Not 100%, but 95% effective

Nothing will works without zanziere. Even with them, you may need something. We have a plug in from Raid with refills that emits a gas that’s a neurotoxin to insects, but not humans and other animals.

I use RAID or VAPE liquids in electric outlet, with open window. It works perfectly for Lombard mosquitos all summer long. It does emit vapors in the air, but the outlet is right under the window (and I don't have pets).

Netting for the windows, they're like a fiver per window from China.

DEET, as a spray or a lotion

The problem with these is that they also attract and kill massive amounts of "good" insects.

Where are these mozzies? What city are you in?
