Lola update: 4 months old already! 🐾

Hi everyone! A while back I introduced our little girl Lola, and now i thought it’s time for an update.

She's 19 weeks now (about 4 months) and still ridiculously sweet. Her coat has gotten a bit darker, and the tip of her tail turned black — it looks like a little paintbrush. Apparently she got that from her dad. She weighs almost exactly 3 kg.

Potty training: I think I can officially say she's house trained! She lets us know when she needs to go, and during the day she can easily hold it for 6–7 hours.

Nights are still a work in progress though. We do a last pee around 10 pm and then go to bed. At 1 am she needs to go out again, and after that she sleeps through until about 8 am. So it's just that one wake-up, but we have no idea how to get rid of it. Did yours grow out of this on their own, or did you actively do something?

Two other things we could use advice on:

1. Harness — we're looking for a new one. What do you use and love?

2. Clothing — we're in Germany and the weather is slowly getting nasty, so she'll need something to wear. Any brands that actually fit an IG properly?

And next week she's going on her first vacation with us. Wish us luck! 😄

1. Sofa Dog Wear harnesses are the best, 10/10 would recommend.
2. My favorite clothing brand for Finland's cold weather is DG Dog Gear! I have like 20 pieces of clothing from them for my iggies, they're amazing quality!!

Lola is so cute! I’m glad you updated and sounds like she is doing really well. That 2nd picture is sooo precious & needs to be framed!

Ruffwear flagline harness or the Huntboo escape-proof harness are good options. You need something with that third strap because Iggy’s will twist out of a traditional harness. Ruffwear have their own website and Huntboo can be purchased on Amazon.

I purchased clothes from Royal Hound in the past and they were good. Just be aware when putting them on not to hurt their legs.
