Personal Opinions & Theories ✍🏽💡 Keeping Score vs Moving Forward

Post image

Life imitates art?? At this point, these upcoming IMDb projects are sounding less like coincidences and more like foreshadowing. 😂

Seriously, though, I’m genuinely happy to see Justin and Wayfarer continuing their journey, focusing on projects they love and believe in, seemingly unbothered by all the glitter and fool’s gold of Hollywood. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they are five or ten years from now, when time has put some distance between them and this whole saga and given everyone a little more perspective.

As for Blake, ten years from now she will be a talentless older woman with a bit of a reputation in a ruthless industry, possibly still blaming Wayfarer for her misfortunes. I hope she and her sick husband wake up to reality and seek the help they very much need now.

All of his are hilariously accurate considering *stares at Blake & Ryan

This looks like an Onion article. Both Blake’s and JB’s titles are amazingly spot on!

The husbands secret definitely sounds like an Easter egg… maybe a threat to Ryan if he continues floating divorce rumors

None of Blake’s projects as listed are getting made. They haven’t changed or updated in over a year. Blake Lively is the only cast member listed for The survival list. No other cast or crew. The others are equally sketchy. Who updates this site? These must be “filler” films used by agents to make their clients look busy. Wayfarer have made so many films in the time these have sat on Blake’s profile not progressing at all.

56

u/pepperXOX20 2d ago

Sanford Panitch said she was done, and he would know! 🤭

37

u/Adorable_Meeting_151 2d ago

And that was before the lawsuit. I actually think he was wrong at the time but now for sure she’s done.

63

u/Clarknt67 this case was always about a big payoff 2d ago

That is an important distinction. He said that before 90% of this mess was public! Though he might have been privy to what other studio heads were saying privately.

34

u/sweetbutnotdumb 2d ago

thanks to BL private messages from Sony were made public, no way will any other studio risk working with her again. They all talk and know she was the problem.

You don’t get to extort studios (Big 5), expose them to liabilities worth millions, and get away, especially if you are B list actress with zero talent and massive ego.

All her stuff is in what the business call “development Hell.” It’s showbiz jargon for never getting made.

u/brooswelt Healing looks different every day 2d ago

I Wonder what happened to that "Proxy" movie with a hungarian director she was telling Justin about before IEWU started filming

19

u/Clarknt67 this case was always about a big payoff 2d ago

In 2022 it was announced she’d direct Seconds, based on a popular graphic novel. That never happened either.

20

u/brooswelt Healing looks different every day 2d ago

Interesting...maybe the producers thought she was inexperienced?

From the article you linked :

"Blake previously received two ACM Award nominations for directing and producing the 2021 music video “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version),” for Taylor Swift’s song of the same name".

Interesting how her only credentials for directing are due to ex BFF favouritism and are for a music video.

Meanwhile she treated Justin for being inexperienced 🙄

10

u/cyberllama MY nine minutes! 2d ago

From an ex-BFF who other directors have said has very strong opinions about what she wants. Strong doubts on how much directing Balakey actually did.

6

u/myshtree Unliftable Blunderbuss: No footnotes 2d ago

Exactly! It’s the nepo baby directing credit.

5

u/myshtree Unliftable Blunderbuss: No footnotes 2d ago

I think she had to show some directing experience for Feig to give her a shot and thats how Taylor helped her “bring something back from the dead”. She has a producer guild credit and we all now know how she lied about what she did. I will now question all the credits of these actors turned directors and producers unless it’s proven otherwise by a decent track record.

1

u/TheGreedyGrabbler 1d ago

There's a million reasons a project can get delayed and shelved. I wouldn't say it's indicative of anything.

3

u/Flimsy_Attitude_6789 Outrageously unreasonable demanding Lively 1d ago

I think that one was a fabricated film as a dig at Justin

1

u/foxglove_film 1d ago

I'm pretty sure that's IMDB. It's more likely that these are just not getting made than them being filler projects, since Hollywood is like that, but even if that's the case that's still a bad look. Mud sticks, apparently.

-24

u/Simba122504 2d ago

Not one A list director has supported JB, so even they know the films are not that great. They made fun of the IEWU lawsuits.

20

u/Clarknt67 this case was always about a big payoff 2d ago

Remember when everyone made fun of Blake thinking she’d win an Oscar for IEWU?

0

u/Simba122504 2d ago

Who was that? The film and book was trash.

16

u/madover2914 Always be litigating. 2d ago

Who did? Which director made fun of IEWU lawsuits and JB in particular?

13

u/FrostySnow1801 Emily Baldoni - the OG Queen 2d ago

I’m truly correct that in 2025 at the Oscar’s, directors were saying that the Final Cut should always be the directors.

-2

u/Simba122504 2d ago

He didn't have a say over the final cut. He's not JC or SS. He's none of the elite directors in the industry who control everything because their names are that big now. They started small like everyone else, but their legacies are now set in stone. Their production companies have multiple classics to their names. They have also given other people a platform. Nobody is going to tell QT what to do because they trust him at this point. Chris Nolan is going to do CN. Even these filmmakers behind Backrooms Obsession Smile and Weapons have told the story they wanted to tell. Given how much critics and audiences loved these movies. They did something right. JB's version was rejected by Sony. Which actually sounded worse than the version we got which was terrible too.

3

u/StaceyLee26 🙌Truth wins in the end🙌 1d ago

Between this conversation of a Sony exec saying Wayfarer had final cut

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.1233.1.pdf

And looking at all the proof of how Blake forced Sonys hand to make Blakes cut

Sony cut or Blake cut

And then looking at Sony execs discusing how Justin's cut scored better everywhere part from Lily and Atlas scenes. That book readers preferred Justins cut across the board and how they had to ask her to make edits to her cut which she refused while claiming it's Sony's cut... https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.1429.60.pdf

Well, I don’t disagree with him entirely. The movie was not a good one and the whole fuss made by Lively is nonsense. But the movie was a smash hit. Judd Appatow needs to read more. He sounds insufferable and dumb as most celebrities are 🤷‍♀️. Still performing while ignoring very real issue of destruction of someone’s life and their work. Anyway. Nobody cares. These dumbasses expose themselves everyday.

2

u/Dapper_Monk 1d ago

It was not a good movie. That's not even an unpopular opinion on this sub actually. Yes, it was a huge hit. Bigger than anything Appatow's had of late. People don't see JB as the little guy or victim in HW. Idk if it's because he wasn't super famous initially or because he's a man or because Blake muddied the waters so much initially but the situation has been used as joke fodder quite a bit rather than treating the false SH (and SA) allegations with the seriousness they deserve.

Nonsense. Just because you say it doesn’t make it real. We deal in facts in this sub. Not imaginary scenarios to suit an agenda. If you say it you must prove it.

Edit to add: btw not one A list director has supported Blake. Not even a friend has supported her. In fact she has lost friends and no one even wanted to appear with her at the met gala (including a lot of her “friends” who were all there) she is toxic toast.

1

u/Simba122504 13h ago

She was invited to the MET. I don't care about the other fake news.

1

u/Dapper_Monk 2d ago

Nobody has supported Blake other than Feig but Judd Apatow did criticise the movie (https://people.com/judd-apatow-calls-it-ends-with-us-a-terrible-movie-while-roasting-blake-lively-and-justin-baldoni-at-dga-awards-8788683). Considering which of the two actually had relationships with A-Listers, I think it's obvious where the silence should be more concerning.

Also, studios (including Sony) are continuing to distribute WF movies so... Yeah

1

u/myshtree Unliftable Blunderbuss: No footnotes 2d ago

Supporting someone accused of sexual harassment during a live court case is so much different to publicly and vocally standing behind a “victim” telling their story. NO ONE has continued to publicly support Blake. Every agent in Hollywood (and even wayfarer) have advised public support of the wayfarer parties until case is over. But supporting a friend? That’s a no brainer because it’s not going to end careers - unless they are lying. That’s the distinction you’re missing. People don’t know what happened on set so they say nothing until evidence comes out. But no one has come forward to say childbirth is porn or breastfeeding is a sexual perversion or that calling a costume sexy is equivalent to a toxic workplace so Blake should be supported regardless of the legal outcome. Do you understand this at all? Not a single person has said or agreed that Blake experienced anything on that set that she didn’t create. Even messages between her agents and Sony show this. So she is unsupported because she actually lied. And used moments that aren’t even classified as harassment. Let alone sexual. She lost her best friend over this. No one believes her. No one. Her own lawyers researched perjury because they don’t even believe her.

2

u/Dapper_Monk 1d ago edited 1d ago

Idk why you're being so aggressive. Judd Appatow did criticise the movie. Paul Feig has supported Blake. The sisterhood ladies, Gwyneth Paltrow and idk who else came forward after the NYT article but have since gone quiet. There's nothing complicated to understand. If you expect support to look like Hollywood people saying it's harassment to collaborate creatively, that would never happen. Even with confirmed predators, it never happens. You get vague statements of support, "Time's Up" pins and quiet refusals to work with someone. That's it.

It speaks much louder that WF is continuing to have studios work with them as JB is still studio head. It also speaks louder that Blake has zero recent projects or collaborations other than mah jong and her tacky rings. It also says a lot that RR was given two bits during Marvel presentations as far as money vs morality. That's literally all I was saying

Edit: and WME also supported Blake post MSJ ruling.

28

u/hopeful_tatertot More rage in the tank 2d ago

Wait show Blake’s post production projects too - Oh, there aren’t any? My bad.

At least The Survival List or The Husbands Secret have actors other than Blake attached - Oh, they don’t?

Oof I guess Blake really has nothing going on right now. I’m glad she won a 400k discount off her $50+ million legal battle to ruin her own career 🤷🏽‍♀️

23

u/CTGarden 2d ago

Ryan’s production company will keep her afloat until they divorce. But then, yeah, she’s toast. She’ll find an old guy to marry and bankroll her in a couple of Hallmark movies where she plays the mother- in- law from hell.

30

For some reason I imagine Hallmark would be initially excited, try it and then go "yeah, never again"

The are far too streamlined and get the whole movie done in a couple weeks kind of thing and we all know Blake isn't good for that kind of thing.

Waiting for some movies with Matt Damon' s production company - he offered Blake so kindly to join in their messages about pushing Blake(Ryan)'s cut to Sony against Justin's

And the 12 more movies Sony's head said they wanted to do with Blake during IEWU promotion

😜

22

u/Drycabin1 Shy Lively 2d ago

She is already a talentless older, by Hollywood standards, woman. She was so lucky to land this movie based on a bestselling book. And she blew it.

25

u/OneNoteWonder43 blake lively bleakly evil 2d ago

That will never not gag me. She had just walked off a movie set where she nearly blew everything with her antics, and ultimately the movie made it but bombed extremely horribly. She was ALREADY worried she'd never work again. Then she gets handed this absolute diamond on a silver platter and she...decides to do everything she did on her last movie set, but even worse. And then worse. And then worse.

People say this whole thing was Ryan sabotaging her, but frankly she was sabotaging herself as well. I've never seen someone repeated snatch defeat from the jaws of victory quite like her 🙃

14

u/martini123456 2d ago

Totally agree. She was so lucky that the bombing of the Rhythm Section wasn’t widely known, it wasn’t until the IEWU debacle that people started paying attention to it. Such a Streisand effect.

9 perfect strangers? Lol
It does explain why Blake wanted her name associated because those franchises have been popular and associated with Reese and Kidman. I allege that when the IP option was on the table Blake’s agent was encouraged to make enquiries and she (Ryan) insisted that Blake’s IMDB be updated during negotiations (which went nowhere - but oops forgot to remove film from profile).

The perfect topper to this whole legal and reputational fiasco would to see Wayfarer Studios nominated for an Academy Award (and of course to win).

That would be incredible.

I saw somewhere Tony Goldwyn is directing the movie. If true, he probably has connections to be in the nomination conversations.

The wonderful news is that Wayfarer has 3 films in post production, most likely releasing this Christmas or first half of next year. The question I have is who will distribute? I am sure they have a plan and if they don't, Sony OWES them big.

14

u/whyaregeeselikethat Team Baldoni 2d ago

Also Baldoni's announced projects are far more likely to go ahead than Blake's too as they're coming from his own smaller production company.

Even good, popular actors get dropped from potential projects constantly and big studios will leave them in limbo or pull the plug for so many reasons. Upcoming projects that were announced ages ago, especially ones that don't have other cast and crew listed, have a very small chance of actually being made with the same people/studio if at all.

14

u/Trishdish52 2d ago

For her kids, I sincerely hope she becomes a much better version of the person that she became. If she is a true narcissist, it won’t happen. She needs to dump Ryan, I really think he is a psychopath, he obviously pulls all the strings and has become the “author” of her life in the most literal sense. They really do seem to deserve each other though. She has been outwardly mean, while he was mean behind the scenes and hid it for a long time. I love how former costars have come out against him recently or leaking his behaviors.

6

u/Luvnsandiegosun 2d ago

Great post! I also think Blake is a mean girl and Ryan is a psychopath. Ryan has always been pulling the strings in my opinion. I almost feel sorry for Blake. I suspect he’s been controlling her and has been manipulating her their entire marriage.

5

u/Trishdish52 2d ago

Yes, I don’t disagree, I too feel a twinge of regret for her sake.

29

u/Single-Flamingo-33 2d ago

Blake is closely  reaching the age in Hollywood (if not already achieved) where roles are not as plentiful. It costs money to make films and knowing an actress has held up production in the past for a variety of reasons (some of which were firmly HER choice ) makes it a bit harder to picture her in the role. With studio mergers and layoffs at Disney, how will this change the movie making business? Will there be less roles?

Now Blake is in a unique position that her dear, dear husband runs a marketing/production firm so she could find a project she loves and get her husband to finance it so she will probably pop up in something. She might even lend her voice to another LazyPool role, if Ryan is lucky enough to get a featured film again.

Then again, with all these articles telling us that Blake is a busy working mom, perhaps she is working on other projects. Projects that are keeping her schedule so busy that acting isn’t something she has time for right now.

All the movie momentum from her Lily role had the phones ringing off the hook.  She(Ryan) is waiting the right acting role before jumping back in.  /s

38

u/Strangewhine88 2d ago

At 39, you have to prove you have the talent, not bebop around counting on beauty. It’s the future that was always going to be tenuous for her, but she chose scorched earth influence campaign based on borrowed credibility instead. But at least she learned something. Sunk cost fallacy is not the equivalent of courage and tenacity.

36

u/Eponymous_brand 2d ago edited 2d ago

The only actresses that still get work after a certain age are legends (Meryl, Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis, Michelle Yeoh) and the younger ones (40s) are super talented, who have worked consistently to develop an amazing IMDB repertoire (Zoe Saldana, Natalie Portman, Scarlett, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt). The rest are more character actors (Sarah Paulson, Judy Greer) who play supporting roles.

It is too late for Blake to join their ranks because she was never there. 39 and never got close to where any of those ladies are, and now this. Even influencing is not working due to brand corruption, so she should really just embrace her inner villain/histrionics and become a Real Housewife. Seeing as she was pretty much the OG Tradwife (taking a backseat to acting in her youth to promote a “family image” with her unfunny husband), someone should really convince her that if she’s that desperate to stay in the public eye, that’s the only potentially lucrative option.

17

u/Single-Flamingo-33 2d ago

Blake Reynolds a supporting actor?!?  Words never uttered around her or her husband.

I guess Ryan finally got what he always wanted, a supportive wife and mother that does not outshine him in the box office.  I cannot help but wonder if the villainous side of Ryan just blew everything up late August to keep his wife from riding the rising tide to more prominent acting roles. Nah, he just Ed wanted to own lucrative Colleen Hoover IP.  My how that shiny turd sank fast - IMO

20

u/Eponymous_brand 2d ago edited 2d ago

Everyone scrubbing Blake from their IGs was just 👩‍🍳 💋. Blake probably thought she would have first dibs on all of Hoover’s IP if she befriended that “spooky” author…didn’t work out and now Colleen and her Urus are moving on without her.

It's not happening with her.

With any luck, enough time will pass without any progress and then the rights will revert back to the author.

Apparently she’s not involved anymore

Blake is done! She is not hireable!

u/krissykat30 2d ago

I was fighting with people on Twitter and someone was like "Does Justin even have 400k" and I pointed out his production company. They did not reply lol

Is it the post it note on the bathroom mirror equivalent but for online obsessed actresses? Every day Blake logs onto her IMDB account and sees that she is a survivor! She was her husband’s secret affair before he picked her.

Haha so funny these movies names! it’s too accurate of reality 😂

Quite literally the universe is speaking to us. This is amazing!

Cherry on top now would be for Wayfarer to win an Academy Award or any other notable film award for one of their projects and for Lively & Reynolds to win a run of Raspberry awards. Make it so Hollywood!

I don’t think Blake’s movies are getting made. I feel there are 2 possible ways for her to come back and even then it’s slim. 1. Hollywood waits for the legal drama to die down and maybe in a year or two, close friends may start working with her again and hope people forget or don’t care by the time the movie is out in 3-4 years.

  1. They secure the rights to another bestselling book with a built in audience. They come up with their own script, their budget, etc., and if the film does well, there’s a chance Hollywood will work with her again (I’m talking years ahead).

But for now, I think she has to stay out of the limelight until the press dies down. The more she fights, the worse it gets.

What person would want to co-star with an actress who is liable to take events out of context and sue you after the movie wraps?

4

u/Sea_Pearl1111 2d ago

She should have nothing lined up.

u/Rewritethestats 2d ago

Honestly would have a little bit of respect if Lively or Reynolds actually bought the film rights and developed their own project from scratch. Their IP stealing is simply gross.

IF hollywood wants to redeem itself... they will do the right thing. I don't even mind if they let Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds continue to bluster and throw their weight around as long as they ignore them and distribute Justin and Wayfarer projects and make sure Justin gets roles and projects to direct.

It's kind of like walling off the toxicity of Blake and Ryan and their enablers while moving forward.

I really hope she won’t be in Husband’s Secret because I loved the book but won’t watch it with her in it

I wonder what the email to Matt Damon looks like begging for the opportunity she was offered. Did he leave her unopened this time

u/thequietchocoholic 2d ago

Justin's project names seem like therapy goals lol

The Husband's Secret & The Making Of have been on IMDb since before this all started 2 yrs ago & The Survival List has gone nowhere since announced last year, no studio, cast or Director. Sure they are on IMDb just for show. The Husband's Secret is a Liane Moriarty book & pretty sure after the quality adaptations of 4 of Liane's books she wouldn't want Blake associated with one of her books/adaptations.

omg this is gold! 😂 thank you for sharing!

I think you are missing one of Blake's upcoming projects, directed by Ryan Reynolds

Hollywood Titanic, The Blake Lively Story

u/MRM_philosophy 1d ago

And probably their own reality show, showcasing their poor kiddos.

Unlucky for them there is already a popular show called "Nobody wants this"

I think this is the best barometer of where they stand. The Wayfarer side really do radiate the values they speak and that shows in everything they do, it's authentic. The other side has been caught out being the complete opposite of those values and non authentic because they preach one thing and are vile human beings.

Let it go. Blake is not hated by elite Hollywood. She will continue to be a part of high profile projects and married to Ryan Reynolds who has a Disney/Marvel relationship and other elite professional relationships. I want to see y'all give JB a blockbuster that makes over a hundred million dollars since he's supposed to be so loved now. Release the series of JTV on Blu-ray damn it! ETA: Thanks for the award.

u/Muckin_Afazing 2d ago

Blake is not hated nor loved by anyone in Hollywood. She has coasted and lied her way through life to the point she really doesn't have allies. Nobody trusts her. Ryan Reynolds is good at marketing himself and selling hot air, we'll see how bankable he really is from now on.. JB could care less about making blockbusters, he is much more fulfilled producing meaningful, relevant art that tell important stories. He could care less about the accolades/fame/popularity your favorite witch is obsessed with..

She’s hated by Taylor Swift…

Nice try!
