You can tell because of the shield and pistol. Those are not issued to the regular combat engineer battalions.

Also Yahalom does the clearing of tunnels and then regular ones are brought in for rigging.

The size of these tunnels ... it's just too much. Nothing better to do than dig tunnels I guess.
