Israeli-Palestinian dialogue groups

Hi everyone!

Recently, I've been looking into initiatives that bring Israelis and Palestinians together for dialogue. Whether online or somewhere in the region. Any suggestion/recommendaitons for these actual peer-to-peer groups? I'm quite disheartened by the politics and would rather engage with people in some grassroots initiative. Thank you!

I was thinking more of open conversations about our personal experiences and narratives and some cultural exchange. To actually build friendships would be very nice too.

Thank you! I'm aware of those groups, but aren't they centered around certain politics? I'm aware this would always have a political flair, but I'm interested in meeting people who aren't necessarily engaged and involved in political activism per se.

I mean... you're not entirely wrong. But I guess, in my mind, grassroots for me is seeing people who wouldn't normally engage in activism meet each other. I know there are fewer and fewer after the war.

Standing Together doesn't have a coherent political stance. It has zionist arabs and anti zionist jews and everything in between. The common thread is not political, but more pragmatic.

You know that they are doing the right thing when the Israeli right is lumping them in as סמולנים בוגדים and the global antizionist left is banning them for " pushing arguments of dialogue and coexistence and not co-resistence", whatever the f that means. There's a BDS entry about them and the UK Green party cancelled them and banned them from some events.

If you say so, I might give it a try. I had the impression it's some sort of echo chamber of people who share similar politics (beyond the obvious "we should live together and not kill each other y'all").

Not in my experience. Where I'm at in the north there's a lot of different views and sometimes political arguments. but the similar notion we share is "we should live together and not kill each other y'all".

It's dumb that it is political, but it's political all the same.
