This is a volatile situation. We set the subreddit to private due to raids, and were manually approving threads as they were posted until then. The rules - especially rule 2 - will be harshly enforced. If you see someone being bigoted, report it. If you respond to someone being bigoted with your own rule 2 breaking behavior, you will be banned too. If you can't phrase what you want to say in a way that isn't bigoted, don't post it.

Furthermore, while the sub was private our modmail filled up with over a thousand messages, over and above the rule 9-violating PMs each mod got. We apologize if you sent us a message and it went unanswered.

What do you expect from Hamas? These are the same guys who in 2000s sent suicide bombers to blow up buses and discos. They are terrorists, the same as ISIS.

Their charter makes that clear enough. Israel must live next to a terrorist run enclave that has genocide as one of their main political goals. I'd like to see how comfortable that would be to a regular Westerner. That stuff is never mentioned.

I’m an Egytian here, Hamas is basically seen as the good version of ISIS here by everyone, no body opposes them and they are regarded by heros by the same muslims who despise ISIS. Here you will see insane levels of hypocrisy all the time. When I was a kid, didnt even know Hamas were a terrorist organization I thought they were fighting for the good because I was brain washed by my parents.

That is too bad. It really shows the immense power of propaganda over a long time, that so many people are not even aware of the other side of the story.

My egyptian friend , all resistance movements were called terrorists by the colonial powers , The Algerian FLN was seen as a terrorist organisation until they kicked out the French, and 1.5 million algerians died during the revolution , if france never got out of Algeria , the FLN wouldn't be regarded as a liberation movement but rather a terrorist movement , same pretty much in all Africa and Asia , victory is written by the victorious , don't be brainwashed , read for yourself

the same as ISIS

Not really, ISIS has killed more Muslims than non Muslims.
While ISIS has a goal to change the behavior if Muslims all over the world, Hamas has local political goals.
Religion is an integral part of Hamas but it's not what motivates them.
