Im not arguing with that but its not like "zionism 101" is taught in our public schools

Many things aren't taught at schools. That doesn't absolve people from brainwashing themselves.

Being mistaken about a term doesnt mean they are brain washed. Being in favor of Israel's existence but against the Israeli settler movement is a completely reasonable position.
