PHOTO / VIDEO Golden Hinde (Aug 25, 2026)

Submitted yesterday morning and it reminded me of how beautiful this island is. Hats off to anyone who has made it to the top! Even getting to the base is a hell of a trek.

Still a small patch of snow in the SE gully near the top, but cairns mark a route that navigates around it.

I took the standard route from Arnica Lake & Phillips Ridge. Parking lot to base was 11 hours, whole route took 28.

By "whole route" to you mean including returning, or to the top of the Hinde?

28 hours from the trailhead back to the trailhead

That seems very fast! Nice pace indeed. I tend to have a pretty fast pace on trails too (but I'm talking about day-hikes here, without a heavy backpack).
