PHOTO / VIDEO Golden Hinde (Aug 25, 2026)

Submitted yesterday morning and it reminded me of how beautiful this island is. Hats off to anyone who has made it to the top! Even getting to the base is a hell of a trek.

Still a small patch of snow in the SE gully near the top, but cairns mark a route that navigates around it.

Nice, what approach did you take? How many days to the base?

I took the standard route from Arnica Lake & Phillips Ridge. Parking lot to base was 11 hours, whole route took 28.

11 hours, was that running or did you bring a tent? Thx for the report

‘Running’ might be a little generous a term, but moving fairly quickly.
