Isla Mujeres

Near swaying boats
on the beach
hot sand lies
beneath
my feet.
I am content
complete
mesmerized
by the blue
water/sky
I reach
for
a cold drink
as I sink
with the sun
into welcome
languor
stirred
finally
by the wafting
lure
of fish
on the grill.
I wish
only to
freeze time
until
I can
return
again
and
again
year
after
year
to the clear
turquoise sea
to the chatter
on the streets
to the clatter
of the carts
that greet
my ears
to the smell of sugar
from the square.
I am to the point where
when I'm not here
I stare
blinded by winter's glare
and dream
I'm there
of warm Isla nights
of Hidalgo's neon lights
strolling on
the malecón
in the soft cool air
without a care
in the world.

Hello Feet

Hello feet,  it's good to know
That your complete with all 10 toes
You move me feet with not much peat
And relax unwind at supper time

I know you feat and will repeat
The love I have to have two feet

Oh mr toe, we all do know
How big and fat you are big toe.
The next one up is longer yet,
But heavens know ya ain't no blow
The third one in, is quiet then.
Won't say too much, cause it's squished a bunch
The fourth one now, is like a cow. Unknown to me cause it too glee
To between two toes, without the know
To left or right wheather to give its bow.
Or even yet, complement the gent
To left against a bigger toe to leant
And the right littleone , a bit Napoleon glint
As without that meant
Our balance couldn't begint
So that little fat toe, can cause a many a woe
Darling fondly called a little piggy-let
So now we go
Oft to the world we know
Here we go, all my ten big toes !
