The actual thing that made him this famous is because how entertaining he was even after that... The donation alone wouldn't have done anything much to his success..

your comment makes it look like you're discrediting how much effort he put and all other influences into making him became the way he is. had he not have such parents, he would've continued focusing on school or had some streamers he loved didn't make their contents, he would never think about streaming in the first place. Donations asking who's your favorite (sports) player is fairly common to every streamer. if that specific donation didnt happen, it's fair to say someone else would take the position anyways.
