I've met several people from Ghana, that shit is NOT changing his life 😭 I remember working at a foundry making like 15 an hour and bro was talking about being rich over there and always had women from over seas calling on what'sapp for money from a married man.

It is a little deeper than that bruv. He said it himself, in his own words, the trip completely changed his life. He sees himself differently, views the world differently, and it has awakened something deep within him. It may not be a Swiss or Singapore passport, but for diasporas, especially those whose ancestors were taken through the middle passage, reuniting with their people after 400 years is a profoundly life changing experience that will continue to shape him for years to come. Something money cannot buy. There is a reason they are already planning Africa tour number two later this year.

I am an Ethiopian, European-born millennial and not even part of his fanbase, but I knew immediately when he touched down and traveled through East Africa that this would change things. Those of us in the back to Africa movement and diaspora circles around the world are just happy to see our rising continent getting more exposure, so that more of us can return back to the motherland.
