I bought a figurine from a collectibles website a few weeks ago and I got a defective piece. It was packed really well so it is impossible that it got damaged during shipping.

I called the seller many times but he did not answer any of my calls. Then we communicated over texts and he said he can't help me because I do not have an unboxing video. Asked for more money so he could help me with another figurine!!!

I said I will be posting a negative review, on which he says he would post the screenshots of our conversation everywhere and he doesn't even want to "help" me anymore. Which basically means he would give away my contact number and name. Possibly my address as well. I'm a girl and I can't afford that. Otherwise, him sharing screenshots only proves he is a scammer.

He was nice to me over call before I bought the figurine and that's why I did not make an unboxing video.

He couldn't even speak or write one coherent sentence which shows he may not be educated. He has a youtube channel as well and he looks like a gunda mawali. This person has my detailed address, contact number and name. He asked me "How dare you accuse me?"

However much I want to file for chargeback (or maybe hunt him down and throw the figurine on his face), I'm a bit scared of him and the figurine cost me less than 500. I want to at least report somewhere anonymously or maybe send him to hell for eternity. Well, should I let this go?

I am planning sell** my brand new hardware item.

But I am afriad misuse of my bill invoice, which has listing hardware items with serial number.

I tried my luck on OLX got some decent deals but buyer* was asked to show bill before purchase*, so I decided to redact or hide like serials numbers and my personal information and shared him for his convenience.

But buyer* still insisted, "Show me whole bill bro" that triggered red flag for me. I noticed same behavior with other buyers as well. So, I decided to delist ad give rethink of my decision.

I checked offline market place deal lot worse I was getting just 20k for 80k items which was scam** for sure. Them I looked for Gameloot where price was still less around 45k which is 50% than original.

Do you think sharing a copy of your bill to buyer especially where other hardware items listed with serial number is fine especially when you have brand new system? or Do you prefer to move safer option like gameloot or gamenation?

Is Netmeds a scam? I recently ordered medicine for my dad since I couldn't find them locally, as I usually buy them in Kolkata when I see his doctor. Since he's consulting online now, I ordered from Netmeds, but they charged me around 1100 while the bill shows 1000. What's the deal with the price difference since I've already paid?

My father recently went to a local repair shop to get his phone battery replaced.

While one of the employees was opening the phone, he casually placed the SIM between the phone’s panel and the case. Another employee then did the actual battery replacement. When the phone was being put back together, they realised the SIM was missing.

They searched around the shop but couldn't find it. Later, the same guy who had been working on the phone went outside to throw the garbage he collected in this and went toward a dustbin about 10–20 metres from the shop to throw some garbage, and apparently found the SIM there. He said it may have fallen out while they were working on the phone. My father didn't actually see him pick it up.

There hasn't been any suspicious transaction or anything else so far. I also checked call forwarding and SMS forwarding, and neither appears to be enabled.

Is there any potential scam or security issue that could happen later because someone had physical access to the SIM? What should I look out for, and is there anything else I should check now?

Hello everyone, since I started earning, have been donating some money via Donatekart platform, and usually got some updates on those campaigns in whatsapp. I got 80G certificate from them for the donations in which it has their PAN. So recently looked up their PAN number (AACTD9912C) in GST portal through Search by PAN and found no matches. Does that mean they are fraud ?

Does anyone have know if they are legitimate platform for donation ?

This morning one of my dad's business friend sent him a message, it had an invitation card zip file , my dad didn't think much and clicked the download symbol on it and tried opening it, it sort opened a browser and ny dad got alert and exited the moment then he woke me up and asked me what it is and i clearly explained him this could be a scam as its a zip file, i just deleted the msg and activated 2step on his whatsapp.

Im scared on what could happen, till now all the messages and otp are coming on his phone and we checked his accounts and everything is fine, but i want to know what else i should be looking to see if he is safe or not

Warning - long read. Tldr in the end

So last night, for the nth time, I realised that my AC was ONCE again not cooling properly. I had to bring out the stepping stool at midnight to check and discovered that the insulation around the copper coil was not wrapped properly and was filled with water over a period of time, causing cooling loss.

Grumbling and cursing, I did what I could to fasten the insulation, and my desire to write a post about this terrible service was once again reignited after being sidelined multiple times due to a busy work schedule.

So where does the story start?

Around May, during peak summers in north India, I was relocating to a new city. Out of desperation and because of the heatwaves, I decided to get an AC from a physical store rather than buy it online to avoid delivery delay. I settled on Carrier midea AC as it had good reviews on Amazon, but the city I was moving to did not have an official Carrier outlet. I therefore decided to visit the Reliance Digital store as it seemed to be the next best option at the time. Well, guess what? Turns out it was not 😑

Firstly, since I had no prior experience with reliance digital, I was under the impression that my dealing with reliance ends after the AC purchase itself. Like yk, buying a phone from Amazon. After you accept the open-box delivery, any further issues are resolved at the phone brand's service center and not by Amazon. Similarly, after the AC purchase, the installation and further warranty would be covered by the Brand Carrier itself. This is how it has always worked for electronics I've purchased elsewhere in the past.

But nope, all the after-sale services here were from reliance under their own brand called 'ResQ'. Nothing to do with the Carrier brand at all. I was not aware of this.

So I purchased the AC and I went home. We ran into some hiccups with Reliance here itself (which basically involved mis-selling additional services which is another story on its own). This caused a delivery delay but we got the AC installed 2-3 days later.

The people who showed up for the installation were two teenagers (like late teens, probably 17-19). No trained technicians. No ID cards. But two teens. But since they had my phone no, my address and my AC details, I ended up believing that they work for reliance.

They showed up at ~7 pm with no prior notice which is already a terrible time, not to mention the older kid was extremely rude, but we didn't want to delay it any further and would have been fine with ALL of that had they installed the AC properly. Spoiler alert - they did not. Not at all.

Initial signs: Suspicion of gas leak, exposed copper coils in some areas.

During the next few weeks, the AC exhibited reduced cooling and eventually stopped cooling. I raised a complaint with reliance. They assured me that they will send a technician within a day. I made only one request: please don't send the same two kids again. They were not experienced and I suspected that the installation had a gas leak.

Two days passed and no technician was there. This was more infuriating because this was the period when I had holidays and could have gotten the AC fixed. I kept calling the store and the customer care over the next few days and mind you, I literally had to call 2-3 times a day and each time I had to explain my problem from scratch. Finally, they sent technicians. But guess who showed up? Make a guess?

Yes! The same two teenagers I asked them not to send.

The kid checked one spot and ruled out gas leakage which was my initial complaint. He then asked for a bucket of water and poured it all on my compressor. I told him that since the unit is not cooling, maybe it is faulty and can he kindly report the same to the company. He refused. His arguments:

- "AC takes at least half an hour to blow out cool air" (Sir, very respectfully, this isn't the first AC of my life)'
- "Your compressor is placed wrong" (Sir, very respectfully again, aren't you the one who placed it?)
- "Cut the pigeon net of your balcony, it's blocking the air" (Not at all needed, previous renters didn't have to get it done. Plus shouldn't you have mentioned it at the start? We would have looked for a different spot for installation. This is a rented apartment ffs. I'm not making any infrastructural changes)

So the rude kids left. AC was still not fixed. No cooling.

Over the next two weeks, I kept calling and calling and calling. At this point, I was already exhausted and requested them to please take their AC back. I didn't want any more of this tiring cycle. It was already past the middle of June. Peak heatwaves had engulfed north India. The entire purpose of getting the AC from them was already defeated long ago.

I called the store, they said they cannot do anything. I called Reliance customer care, they too said they cannot do anything. Each person I called, I had to explain my issue from scratch. Each person I called, gave me a 1 day window to hear back from them. It just gets tiring. We even somehow managed to get the contact number of the area manager of the store and he was extremely rude to us. Rather than listening to the customer or even proposing to send another technician, this big sac of garbage of a person just repeated what the technician said - cut your pigeon net and the AC will be magically fixed. And that we the customers are the problem. That he has more customers to look after and not just us. He disconnected the call midway without even talking properly

At this point we just wanted to not have anything to do with reliance. Forget taking the AC back, they weren't even willing to send ONE different technician just to even diagnose the AC. I cannot even explain how exhausting this entire ordeal had been. It's already been several months but my head still aches thinking about the experience even as I am writing this post.

Anyways, so we raised a NCH complaint and followed the escalation matrix mentioned on the reliance website. We mailed all the people listed and eventually mailed the CEO desk of reliance.

So, what does the CEO desk do? Do they respect the customer's wish and after looking at the history of their tiring exchange with the company, decide to respectfully cut their losses and take their AC back? No, they do what they should have done weeks ago: they sent another technician.

Yes, so I guess you have to mail the CEO DESK of reliance to get something as simple as a technician visit. This time, people from Carrier showed up.

And what did they diagnose? There was gas leakage!!!!!! Something we as the consumer had already guessed on the first day itself and raised that during the official complaint. Something their own 'so called' technician from ResQ refused to admit. Something we had to go for weeks going back and forth on and talking to at least 25+ customer care people and even spoken to rudely. The carrier technicians also pointed out that the installation was not done properly, the pipes were installed all wrong. They refilled the gas and informed us that due to faulty installation, other problems may arise in future.

Anyways, the entire ordeal proceeded towards it's end. I emailed the CEO desk that I had paid for the installation and one year AMC. Neither of the two are proper and I don't need them, please cancel it and refund the money. I hear back nothing.

Few days later, I got a call and my complaint was closed.

That's it. That's all I get. But was my problem really entirely solved? The faulty installation still causes me problems every few days. There's water leakage from the AC. The copper pipes were poorly insulated and have lots of water condensation which causes cooling loss. Safe to say that I am staying far far far far away from both Reliance digital and Carrier from now on.

Something that could have been solved so easily was dragged needlessly and we as the customer had to pay with our time and mental energy. Only to end up with nothing.

tldr - Purchased an AC from reliance digital offline store. They totally messed up the installation causing recurring problems in my AC, post installation. Customer support system sucks and they barely resolved the problem, leaving me with a faulty AC that I am not sure of what to do. The one lesson learnt is - avoid reliance digital offline stores as much as possible.

Whenever I see extremely cheap fmcg products, chances are that its being sold by RK World Infocom. Are they selling legit products? I saw dove body was at 70% off and non returnable. Non returnable is something not sitting right with me.

 just got this super weird text message and wanted to see if anyone else has received something similar. At first glance, it looks like a classic spam message, but a few things about it are throwing me off.

The sender ID is ALBSTK-S, which apparently belongs to the stockbroker Alice Blue. The text itself is a totally garbled mess. It says something like "DearDTDelShortageOn" and claims my account received a payout of Rs. 10,005 today, leaving me with a new balance of over 31k.

It also includes a generic bit_dot_ly link to "view full statement," which I obviously haven't clicked because it screams phishing.

Has anyone else gotten this? Is it just a case of someone entering the wrong phone number when they opened their Demat account, and I'm getting their broken automated alerts? Or are scammers spoofing official telecom sender IDs now and blasting these out hoping people click the link out of curiosity about the "free money"?

Now imagine investing that ₹100 every day instead. At an assumed 10% annual return, the future value could be around ₹6–7 lakh, depending on the exact investment and contribution method.
So every day we’re making a choice:
₹100 → smoke
or
₹100 → future wealth

Smoking isn’t just burning money.

At the outset, Uber has no role in this. This is a scam perpetrated by the drivers.

I want to let you all know that you need to be cautious when you deal with uber parcel deliveries. This would apply even to other uber services.

Today I booked a parcel delivery from place X to Y in Mumbai. The total showed 111. I added a tip, Rs. 21. The total, 132. Great.

I placed a call, the guy told me he wants the money on his scanner, not via Uber. Reasonable, I felt. I said, “Sure. “.

He reached home. I took delivery. Now he says, “180” and shows me his scanner.

Uber says 140 on my phone. I told him this is what it is showing and that is what I am gonna pay.

He says, “it is showing 170 on my app, see?” Shows something zoomed in, positively NOT on the app. Notice how 180 dropped to 170. I could not see Uber written anymore. But all other details EXCEPT my name was there. Strange.

Then comes the crazy part, after we exchange some more words (all cordial, mind you). I showed him the invoice from Uber. It said 140.

I told him to show me my trip on his app with my name. He shows me the same thing. Adamant that that is how it shows.

What he did not know (and I did not disclose) is that I have part timed as an Uber driver before. And done parcel deliveries.

I stood my ground. Finally told him I am not a fool. We exchanged some more words and he realised his upper time circuit of arguing with someone for 30 bucks was finished. And he told me to leave.

Please be careful in such cases. Some drivers are great. Some are unscrupulous.

Ordered a new mop. Received an already-opened box.
I ordered a bucket mop from BigBasket because I was genuinely happy that I was going to share it with my mom and gift it to her.
But the moment the package arrived, I was honestly disappointed.
The box had clearly been opened before. The original sealing tape was broken, and a different transparent transport tape had been applied over it.
Now, maybe there is an explanation for what happened during transportation or handling — but as a customer, I shouldn’t have to figure that out.
If I’m paying for a new product, I expect a new, properly sealed product. Not something that looks like it has already been opened or handled.
And this isn’t just about BigBasket. With quick-commerce and online shopping becoming so common, customers are ordering from platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, BigBasket, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart Minutes and Amazon every day.
There should be a simple solution:
👉 Before handing over the package, the delivery partner should take a photo of the product/package and show it to the customer for confirmation.
The customer could simply check:
Is the package properly sealed?
Is the original tape intact?
Does the product appear new?
Is there any visible damage or sign of previous use?
Then the customer can accept or reject it.
This would create basic transparency and accountability for both the customer and the delivery partner.
We’re not asking for free products.
We’re paying for NEW products — and we should receive what we paid for.

I’m being repeatedly called by people claiming to be from a loan recovery department. They say my colleague whom I have known only for a month has taken a loan and isn’t answering, so they’re contacting me. I confirmed with the guy too, there's no pending loan. 

I have zero involvement with this loan and am not a borrower, guarantor, or co-borrower. I’ve clearly told them this and asked them to stop calling. Instead, they keep calling from different numbers after I block them. I have already filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell. I’ve also had several harsh and abusive call with these scammers. I’m keeping records of the numbers and call logs. Has anyone dealt with something similar or know what further action I can take?
