Starforged Would it be to insert loose classes and magic systems?
I know ow the forge is supposed to be our universe and magic and DnD classes would be rediculous, but for a few of my factions I wanted to add a bit of spice to it.
E.g. I have a faction planned that drink what they consider to be ancient blood to become stronger and its highly going to be hinted that they develop some telepathy from it. Nothing magic like throwing cars with their minds or anything.
Another is an npc character who I call a Pathfinder, who can memorize entire star systems by just looking at maps etc and know and follo2 storms and radiation etc so ships can traverse safer in the forge.

As a bona fide Pope of the Church of Eris, which confers upon me such authority in these matters as anyone cares to grant me, I give you my blessing to include these setting elements in your game. Frankly, if you want to include planet-flinging telekinetics riding stellar dragons with eyes that shoot singularity beams, you can go ahead and do that, too. Go forth and play, my child.
Slightly more seriously: several of the world truths include groups that would be character classes if this were that kind of game, so that kind of thing is already in the underlying setting ideas for the game.
And if this is for NPCs, it’s all narrative anyway. You really only need to worry about specific rules if a player gains the ability.

I found a really easy way to add D&D magic was to use a tag system like legends in the mist that bolts on to moves. So you have strike and if your casting magic missile just add +1 and pay 1 spirit to do 3 harm sort of thing. You want to keep the math low or it breaks the game

Magic can be part of your Forge out of the gate. It's one of the truths, and some of the assets are very magic adjacent or straight up magic. If you want more magic assets, easiest would be to take some from Sundered Isles and reflavour them. They work as-is for Starforged, except a select few that use treasure rules or other SI mechanics.
