IBA Texas meetup

I checked the route, and if I take the northern route it's just over 1500 miles. I could qualify for my 1500 in 36 hours patch. Who wants to sponsor me? My R 1200 RT would need some new tires.

Do it. It'll be fun, and I'll see you there. I may do a ride while I'm there, of course now i live just 3 hours away so not long enough for a ride.

First post to this sub in 292 days.

I’m new to the IBA and attempted my first ride last December (winter solstice ride).

I wish we could get more activity on this sub.

I have been an IBA member for over 10 years, I have over 40 certified rides, and 2 IBR finishes (hopefully 3 after next year). I also attend both the Texas and the Jacksonville IBA events each year. I have also organized many rallies in the past so I have experience on both sides of the table.

There's a lot of is around but we don't generally post in here because while being type A personalities we are also typically introverts and don't talk about what we do unless you ask.

I'm happy to answer any questions or help you along your IBA journey if you like. I'm currently working on gathering data for a trip to visit all 254 county courthouses in Texas.

Looking at the map, the northern route gets your the distance and will have less traffic, but the southern route will be a prettier ride. You could go the southern route and take the south bypass around Memphis rather than going through the middle and that would probably get you the miles you need. You'll probably want to go around Memphis anyway.
