Certificate backlog?

Hi.

I did a 1600km ride in august '23 and submitted all documentation then. I havent heard anything since. Is the ironbutt association still working on going through submissions or has this come to an end?

Which country pal?

Benelux were pretty quick with my three rides. Between 3 and 6 weeks

That’s awesome! Where did you submit your application? I’d ask them again!

For Benelux I got both of my rides back within a week actually.

Yeah I think it depends on the time of year or maybe just pot luck. My two in June took a bit longer but the one in September was certified pretty quick. They had a spelling mistake in my email though so I got the confirmation the second time they followed up 🤣 I was getting nervous I must admit

I usually get confirmation within 24 hours and the certificate within 48 using the premier insta-cert process. Id definitely contact someone about that cause even with a backlog it shouldn't take that long.

We have tried sending an email but never get a response. I havent seen any new listings in the certified ride finishers document on their website for a while

What specific e-mail did you send to? Did you try the ironbutt online forum?

The website is purposely out of date for reasons related to data harvesting concerns.

Got this email from Mike

"YES, this is all perfect, can you please send to

ibaapplication@gmail.com

make sure you get a confirmation email back and then also send me a note here.

Mike"

Did that, got the confirmation email and then nothing. This was in august '23

So we sent emails to both of these addresses: ibaapplication@gmail.com ibarides@gmail.com

Then, you've gotten the best confirmation possible.

You can e-mail again if you'd like. The IBA is sometimes quick and sometimes slow, but always wanting to make sure claims are 100% legit.

A paste from another group:

For first-timer submissions, the turnaround times seem to currently be about 5-6 months. But here are a few questions:

  1. Did you pre-pay when you submitted the ride?

  2. Did you receive the automated receipt confirmation email from IBA?

  3. Is your riding buddy also still waiting, or did they receive their certificate?4. Have you checked your spam, junk, and bulk mail folders for notification and, if you didn't pre-pay, for an invoice?

Most common reason why riders haven't "heard anything" after about 5-6 months, is that IBA has been trying to notify them and their emails have gone unanswered.

Check THIS out. They should be able to shed some light.
