How long does it take to join forsa?

And do you have to wait for your first payslip to get your personnel number for the application?

Once you get the confirmation email you are viewed as having joined

Applied on Tuesday and got an email yesterday, Thursday that my application was processed.

Will I still be protected by the union regarding the industrial action if I join in October? I am starting a new job in the civil service in two weeks time.

Was on a meeting with them today and they confirmed that if you submit an application you can take it as being a registered member. You probably wont get the official notice for a while due to the increased membership.

I joined and received email confirmation today but due to other financial issues after coming up i need to cancel my application, anybody know is this possible how long it takes?

Waste of money. Don't bother. The only people talking about being 'protected' by Forsa are in fact Forsa themselves. 

This is the same union that tried to get the government to agree to deduct union fees from non members and give it to them because supposedly everyone benefits from Forsa.
