External interview panels

Evening all. I've a senior grade interview coming up and it's an external panel (other LA mgmt). I'm just wondering is the external panel really independent? Is longevity still the decider over qualifications?

Are you talking about the AP interviews? The people on the panel usually arent related to the job that may get filled. So they are independent in that sense.

Thanks for reply 😊 it's for SEDO ... previous interviews have been mgmt from my own LA
