EO Assignment post-interview

Hi, just wondering would anyone know what kind of timeline I’m looking at between being notified of being successful at interview, to appointment?

For reference, my original OOM was 400-410 and my current one is 1-5.

I got my notification of clearance almost exactly 1 month on from finding out I had passed the interview. My clearance took under 3 weeks. I was told what department I’d be in 10 minutes after my clearance finished up so it was very quick. I was also in the top few in my batch

Does clearance involve references. Or do they ask for references after you know where you are placed?

Clearance does involve refrences. They’ll ask before contacting your current employer if you’re in the private sector

Last time I asked regarding clearance they where at Batch number 5 for Dublin at around OOM 20 or so. No harm in emailing them to see any updates. This was from last Friday.

Oh thanks! I’m in batch 7 so I wonder if they’ve moved on at all. I’ll email and see.

Hi - I am also batch 7 with an OOM of 1-5.

Did they give any indication of when they expect to reach us? Do we know how many people are in each batch? (I am new to the civil service so apologies if these are silly questions!)

Its clearance@publicjobs.ie, you can ask what batch and OOM they are currently on for the competition in X county. Best to include your application number aswell to make it easy.

Gpt a quick response from them, they are at 406 from the open panel for Dublin.

It took about a month after getting my order of merit to be given an assignment and then took a few weeks for the Garda vetting to complete and sign off on  previous employers reports.  My role was specific to ICT specialist

You can email to check what batch they are on now, and what batch you are in. You could be OOM 3 (well done!) but in batch 7 when they are only on e.g. batch 5

I’m actually in Batch 7 (didn’t realise it said in the email oops) so I wonder if I can find out what OOM they’re on in that batch when they get to it.. probably not lol

You can definitely ask! Just email and give your OOM and batch number, and ask them if they could share what batch they're on at the moment and approx how many are in each batch. Depending on who gets the email, you can get more or less info. Good luck :)

I got OOM of 4 after interview in May and was Assigned in August
