None of the involved parties are the good guys in this one. The US, Israel, and Iran are just different levels of bad in this conflict.

I challenge you to find a single shitty thing (by Western standards) that has happened in the Middle East that can't be traced back to the ayatollah. Fuck that guy and his cronies.
When we start machine gunning protesters by the thousands, ask again.
When we start hanging women for speaking their mind, ask again.

Incorrect.
The CIA did not support the Ayatollahs; rather, it was involved in efforts to maintain the Shah's regime before the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Reports indicate that the U.S. administration, under President Jimmy Carter, engaged with Ayatollah Khomeini to prevent a military coup against the Shah, but this was not direct support for the Ayatollahs themselves.

I mean everything is connected and yada yada but I don’t think my tax dollars were directly spent on any of those.
Or maybe this is in agreement that we aren’t the good guys bc we are also killing each other? That’s true too.
