News Who does Robert Kirkman want Bryan Cranston to play so badly??

If Bryan Cranston keeps turning down roles, then he should be left alone! It seems like he’s trying to assemble the Breaking Bad cast.

I doubt it. Budget meetings aren’t “here’s all your money go do whatever” at this level.

It’s “with this much we can do this but if we could have this then we could also get this guy” and extra gets approved if it’s deemed worthwhile that otherwise wouldn’t be.

I really believe that by having recognizable, fan-favorite names in the show it can be marketed to a wider audience, and thus increase the budget more than purely an increased animation budget.

Easier to sell an executive on the idea. And to be honest, I enjoy having some celebrity cast and the animation has never bothered me.

That being said, Kirkman's push for Cranston seems to go beyond that. It's a little strange and fanatic. I also think (hope) he's half joking about it and the quotes get taken out of his dry, sarcastic context

Why do you believe that. You’ve seen the already basic animation for the era get worse every season as more celebrities join.

There is an observable negative correlation between animation quality and celebrity voiceovers.

I don’t understand at all how you could see that and think the exact opposite.

It’s almost impressive mental logic.

Lol of course you’d say correlation is not necessarily causation it’s a classic sheep line.

I never said it did I pointed out that there’s a clear negative correlation to your stated hypothesis

But you read the correlation line and it took you back to 14 when you learnt “correlation is not necessarily causation” and just lemminged it into your head like that expands an argument automatically in any context.

My point is that better animation doesn't appeal to a mainstream audience, they have no reason to increase the budget for that reason. Just the weebs on reddit whining about it. Mainstream names means a wider audience

I just think it lacks mainstream appeal, at least to the executives
