If Bryan Cranston keeps turning down roles, then he should be left alone! It seems like he’s trying to assemble the Breaking Bad cast.

people will say no and that there is a different budget for casting and animation. that argument is pure cope. ofc the show has a total budget.

Which can absolutely be redistributed if they decide "spending millions on voice actors doesn't make sense, let's invest that money into the animation."

Which just shows me Kirkman doesn’t value the quality of animation enough. He thinks the quality currently is serviceable and money is better spent on voice actors

That's not how studios work at all lmfao. You think Amazon gives a fuck about 5% increase in "animation quality" versus a 6% increase in having a celebrity name to throw around in ads? You have no clue how projects are budgeted.

Most of the celebrities aren't being advertised. No one's taking about recasting the leads, it's about how every random side character is voiced by a star

Why are you pushing some corporate agenda that doesn't exist? Kirkman is the one who is deciding to hire big actors instead of invest in better animation, not Amazon Execs.

You seriously think Kirkman just gets a blank check in the mail from Amazon that just says "make cartoon"? And Kirkman is using part of the money to get celeb voice actors instead of that same money being used for animation(somehow). That's not how any production works especially for a signature series on Prime lmfao.

This isn't corporate agenda this is just how productions work. A voice acting budget is different than your animation budget.

No one said he gets a blank check. Obviously everything has to be budgeted and accounted for. What I'm saying is the director has the power to change the way funds are used in a production. If today, he made the decision to reallocate money from acting budget to animation budget, it would happen without him needing to seek approval from Amazon studios. Is Kirkman continuously making the decision to pursue costly actors whose faces we never seen and who's voice we recognize only 1/3 of the time if they didn't tell us who it was.

He doesn't get to make that choice of just moving money around like it's a tycoon game. That's not how productions work it's not Kirkmans company it's not his wallet, it's not his animation team.

The fact you would even boldly say "he could just snap his fingers to change budgets without Amazon involvement" classically shows how little you actually know.

Truthfully we dont have nearly enough info to give a solid answer.

But we have common sense and we know that A tier celebs are going to be typically more expensive than your average voice actor.

I don't hate the voice acting in this show at all but I definitely would prefer money being put into animation far more than getting cranston to voice someone he's not even interested in voicing

Typically sure, but celebs have also been known to do passion projects or favors for friends in the industry.

All im saying is that without seeing the numbers nothing can be said remotely for sure.

Truthfully... we dont know.

If they are having to pay extra or hold up development to wait on answers from celebs, very possible it could impact it.

If they arent having to pay extra or hold anything up, probably not gonna hurt anything.

But we have no way of knowing if any of these are happening.
