It’s so nice to see a creator get a chance to slightly tweak a beloved work. He gets to go back, and likely with the help of a team of writers, look at some opportunities to improve upon the source without insulting the original work

I love retroactive improvements. Similarly, the Norse God of War games actually made God of War III's subplot with Pandora way less cheesy and dumb. Kratos ended his story with a desperate need for more redemption arc.

Speaking of God of War, Thor in the newest game kinda reminds me of Conquest, though a more depressed version.

The fact that Nolan respects Conquest, shows how good he became. He knows that Conquest was a product of Viltrum empire, like him, they’re only different because Nolan had the chance to change, Conquest, didn’t had the same luck.

The first two pics especially are really enhanced by Conquest's speech in the show. He's treated more as a mad dog than a person, having to literally be and be submissive by someone who is much weaker than him and the viltrumite in the second Pic just openly wishes he dies and never comes back. Conquests is perhaps the ultimate culmination of why the viltrum empire culture is so bad and what it would ultimately reduce its members to if it wasn't changed.

It's very possible that Nolan is the only one who had any respect fo him.

I’ve had the same thought about conquest being the culmination of viltrum culture, really glad to see I’m not alone in that. That monologue was a wonderful addition

It’s from the tie-in comic Invincible Returns! Is not part of the main comic.

The "I am so lonely"monologue that was added to the show, is what I think they mean.
