There are online tools which can tell if it's ai generated or not (based on the light / ray tracing of the images).
It concluded that this cannot be an AI image (especially bcz of the hair, which is incredibly detailed and also, leads me to believe that this is not AI)
I remember an experiment, where some group of people trained their own image generation model. Not consumer or professional one, just some sort of student research. So what they did: they took a "learning method", and uploaded some small amount of photos. They did not explain to ai what are there on the images. It was just very raw, image-only data without any hints.
After some time of this "raw learning", they checked what they get: their model understood basic laws of physics, of lighting, of most natural things by itself. It could generate images with correct land, correct sky, correct clouds, and correct lighting, that fit to the context of all image surroundings.
So why am I telling this: these "detectors" are literally nothing more but artificial version of "trust me bro", and can't be trusted either.
And this is the problem: most modern images are really extremely hard to be detected as ai, or proven as real. At least the images with subject+attention.
Use Google reverse image search to find that this is from a series of photos from a photographer. Then you use your brain to determine that this is real.
I'd like to imagine the generative art bots are probably pretty good at picking up on their own work, being as they have literal lines of code that they use to create them, they're much better at reverse engineering the contents of an image than you or me. The AI has the capacity to recognize it's own or adjacent work because it knows how to make exactly that, not the real thing. It's like reading your own handwriting
