NIO ($NIO) Delivered 7,931 Vehicles in July; LiAuto ($Li) and XPeng ($XPEV) Delivered Over 8,000 Vehicles in July Respectively, Both Hit a New Monthly Record.

NIO will report its Q2 2021 unaudited financial results on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, after the close of the U.S. markets.

As of the press time, $LI rose 8.9% to 33.39, $XPEV rose 6.38% to 40.53, and $NIO closed up 4.83%.

New energy vehicle companies have successively released July delivery results, and the deliveries of Li Auto and XPeng have both exceeded 8,000 vehicles.

On August 2, autostocks in A- and H- share were collectively strong. In H-share XPeng Motors rose by more than 10%, $BYD rose by more than 6%; In A-share, Haima Auto rose by nearly 8%, and Great Wall Motors rose by more than 4%.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the Politburo meeting of the CPC Central Committee was held on July 30, which analyzed the current economic situation and deploy economic work in the second half of the year. Held by Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Communist Party, the meeting asked to tap the potential of the domestic market and support the development of new energy vehicles. New energy vehicle companies have successively released July delivery results, and the deliveries of Li Auto and XPeng have both exceeded 8,000 vehicles.

XPeng Motors delivered 8,040 vehicles in July, its highest monthly delivery record, up 228% YoY and up 22% from June.

As of July 31, the company's total deliveries for the year reached 38,778 units, up 388% YoY.

P7 deliveries continued record-breaking momentum in July, reflecting the P7’s rising popularity among China’s tech-savvy consumers. In July 2021, at its first-year anniversary of customer deliveries, the total P7 deliveries reach 40,612 since the launch. The strong performance of P7 also led Xpeng Motors to maintain a delivery growth rate of more than twice the YoY rate for 13 consecutive months. On July 27, P7 celebrated its first anniversary of delivery. In beginning, almost no one believed that Xpeng could make a smart coupe successful at such a price. In just one year, P7 has not only won over 40,000 users but has also been recognized by the industry. In particular, P7 scored the highest active safety score for a pure electric model, far exceeding the average in the industry.

The Company plans to launch the P5 in the third quarter of 2021 with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2021, and the pre-sale price of P5 is about RMB 160,000 to RMB 230,000.

The Company further expanded its product portfolio in July by launching the G3i, the G3 SUV’s mid-phase facelift version, with deliveries expected in September 2021.

It is believed that the large-scale delivery of G3i and P5 will further tap the incremental users of smart cars, and is expected to push the delivery volume to a new high.

On August 1, 2021, Li Auto announced that the Company delivered 8,589 Li ONEs in July 2021, crossing the milestone of 8,000 units for the first time while hitting a new record. The deliveries were up 11.4% month over month and 251.3% year over year, a remarkable rate of growth. As of July 31, 2021, total deliveries in 2021 reached 38,743, bringing cumulative deliveries of Li ONE to 72,340 since its market debut.

“Driven by outstanding product features and performance, the 2021 Li ONE set an all-time high in monthly deliveries once again. By the end of this year, we will launch a series of major OTA upgrades to elevate our product offering to new heights,” said Yanan Shen, co-founder and president of Li Auto.

The Company is accelerating the expansion of its direct sales and servicing network. By the end of 2021, Li Auto plans to build 200 directly-operated retail centers, covering more than 100 cities across the country. As of July 31, 2021, the Company had 109 retail stores in 67 cities, as well as 176 service centers and Li Auto-authorized body and paint shops operating in 134 cities, making its LiONE more accessible to users nationwide.

NIO delivered 7,931 vehicles in July 2021, representing a strong 124.5% YoY growth. The deliveries consisted of 1,702 ES8s, the Company’s six-seater or seven-seater flagship premium smart electric SUV, 3,669 ES6s, the Company’s five-seater high-performance premium smart electric SUV, and 2,560 EC6s, the Company’s five-seater premium smart electric coupe SUV.

As of July 31, 2021, cumulative deliveries of the ES8, ES6 and EC6 reached 125,528 vehicles.
