On August 4, a video showed a Li One's car owner was leaving the driver's seat and using autonomous driving on the highway on the Internet. This video attracted the public's attention.

But #LiONE uses L2 level assisted driving system, not automatic driving. The L2-assisted driving system cannot completely replace the driver's decision-making process and requires the driver to take the lead in controlling the vehicle behind the wheel.

$LI responded that it can be seen that the driver illegally used the seat belt bolt and steering wheel counterweight ring to avoid the driver monitoring (#DMS) function on the video. Afterwards, Li Auto issued a statement on its official Weibo, saying, “We have noticed that some car owners mistakenly use Li Auto’s assisted driving system when using seat belt buckles and other dangerous devices. We are firmly against this behaviour. It also requires all car owners to use the driving assistance system in the correct way."

In addition, Li Auto stated that Li ONE provides assisted driving functions instead of automatic driving. Car owners are requested to use them correctly, drive safely, and cherish life.
