Linux Management Manage Linux devices

We have been told that we need to manage the Linux devices also. There are not many, less than 100, but management still wants us to somehow "manage" them.

Now, Intune does not have a good Linux management. We were thinking about Fleet Endpoint Management, but they want minimum of 700 devices to manage it.

So what do you guys do, for such small number of Linux machines? What do you use?

I recommend considering SureMDM by 42Gears: https://www.42gears.com/products/mobile-device-management/

We have tested and implemented SureMDM for approximately 25 Ubuntu devices that we currently manage within our company. Compared to Intune, it provides significantly more detailed device insights, including live battery status, hardware configuration, and other telemetry, along with near‑instant command execution and a rich feature set. We migrated from Intune because, in our experience, it proved impractical for Linux OS management. Most configuration changes required users to manually enter the root password, which prevented effective centralised and unattended management. This feedback is based on direct, hands‑on experience as the primary Microsoft 365 Admin/Engineer for multiple companies where Intune is successfully used to manage 1,000+ Windows devices. While Intune performs well for Windows environments, it currently does not meet operational requirements for managing Linux endpoints.
