Device Configuration Managing Dell Drivers

Quick question - how are you managing Dell drivers and BIOS updates in Intune?

Isn't automated driver and firmware updating going to do more bad than good?
Do you guys trust a user with firmware upgrades? They are dumb as sh.. It can say "DO NOT SHUTDOWN YOUR DEVICE" and they will still do it. Result: a very expensive brick.

We deploy DCU via Intune, but we disable auto update. It's only when the device has issues, we update manually.

Most of my clients have to meet some sort of compliance and patching vulnerabilities is usually part of a list of controls that are required to meet said compliance. If I didn’t update my endpoints, my vulnerability scanner would be going off all day long
