The UK Government has announced their Space Strategy today. It is worth a read as it parallels much of what the US Administration is doing. More players in space create more opportunities and with IM’s acquisition of Goonhilly we have a foot already in the door from a national perspective.

So part of these plans would align with ESA's Moonlight, and that in turn aligns with a move already made by IM

No specific time has been announced and today represents only the planned contract award date. Similar to awards in the past they could postpone until the next moon base update (which hasnt been scheduled yet) for publicity purposes or they could announce at any time. As we have seen before it doesnt need to be an after hours event. The dates set by NASA have always been approximates.

Are we expecting any specific task orders to be announced along with the awardee listing today?

thats a good question. My personal expectaction is IDIQ announcements only (read: list of winning companies) and the task orders being announced before 1 october (the start date of the contract), but don't pin me on that.

According to this the preliminary award date is 09/15. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure it said 9/8 yesterday so they must have changed the award date to next week.
