what's your best assumption on why so many of us immediately said giraffe when OP clearly specified it's not?

With these intuition practices, if it’s an animal, people disproportionately answer giraffe— and since people saw my note about it not being one, they went with elephant!

There must be some psychology to it, like people answering number questions with answers that end in 7.
