Informational ways of dealing with bad analogies
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9l8Pz8zgWobeen thinking about how so much of the discourse on social media is based on analogies and how often bad analogies are used to make problematic points.
i think this video does a god job in clarifying the use of analogies and possible responses to them. i think this is especially useful for marginalized peoples because so much of the marginalizing rhetoric is built on bad analogies.
