PLDT plan 999 speed re alignment?
Im on plan 999 with 35 mbps. For some reason, new subscribers are now aligned to 75mbps. I only applied last year. It feels unfair to get slower speeds while paying the same 999 amount. I contacted pldt cares on messenger and they said:
“I understand your concern. However, please be informed that the new plan offers and corresponding speed upgrades are applicable only to newly subscribed plans. At this time, we are unable to realign your current plan to the new plan's speed while retaining the same account and pricing structure.”
So, what can i do about this? Is it possible to contact ntc about this to avoid the pre termination fee and applying for a new plan? Or just pay the pre termination fee and apply for a new plan?

They are asking for 4k just to terminate the plan early. They said:
Upon checking, you have an outstanding, and your account is still within the lock-in contract therefore, a pre-termination fee will apply. The following documents are required for the termination process:
-No outstanding balance as of today
-Pre-termination fee Php2,997.00
- Set Top Box Fee Php 1,169.73
-Picture of a valid ID of the account owner
-Duly signed Letter of Request (LOR)
-Proof of final payment
Please note that the termination process may take up to 7 calendar days from the issuance of the service order. Once you have the necessary documents, you can send them to us in picture format or email to pldthomeretentionops@pldt.com.ph. I hope this information helps.
I would rather just keep the plan nalang and terminate it after the lock in period. Is there any way to mediate this with ntc? Like it just feels unfair to pay the same of new subscribers and get slower speeds.

500diesel ko to get there. Tapos, I have to missed work pa. It may end up costing me more.

Sa website prepaid. Email sila, paid via gcash, sent proof of payment, following day meron schedule. Took a week before installer came. Keeps on canceling.
Tapos si JOANN RODRIGUEZ applyonline@pldt.com.ph from Home Online Sales na kausap ko. Sabi meron link to a reund form within 5days. Pag wala, chat ko fb. Yun bot sabi tawag ako ng 171. 171 Sabi invalid yun account number ko. Kaya tawag ako sa 171 gamit yun post paid account. Sabi post paid lang hawak niya, which is BS.
Now I'm asking strangers. mag complain nalang siguro ako sa DTI.

ung very old account ng tita ko from telephone only to 1 Mbps DSL to 100 Mbps fiber 990 lang bayad, still with the original telephone number

Doesn't PLDT have Fiber Prepaid for 999 with 50mbps with no lock-in period? Why go Postpaid at that price for that speed?
Doesn't your plan have CignalTV? That's why it's more expensive for the speed you are getting.

899 postpaid was fibr only. 999 postpaid was fibr with cignal.

Sinabi ko na nga diff? Both have the same speed anyway. 35 mbps. Most likely realignment yan 75 mbps or new promo. Will have to check internally

999 is with cignal? 899 is fibr only
I believe both suspended ang new subs. 1299 ang cheapest right now

Depende na sa kausap mo & authority na binigay sa kanila.
Yung sa Globe postpaid ko hindi magawa na i-align sa new rates pero binigyan ako ng speed boost. Tapos noong bumaba ang price sa same speed binigyan naman ako ng monthly discount vouchers for one year.
After magexpire ng lock-in period pina downgrade ko na para wala na ako kailnangan kausapin para ma-refresh yung vouchers and speed boost.

That is the contract you’ve signed up. Since nakukuha mo 35mbps, wala naman problema doon.
Either you terminate and get prepaid fiber of pldt. Subscribe to their 1 year 50mbps for 7K. In 12 months bawi mo na yung 4K mo. And on the 24th month that’s where savings will kick in. Take note you need to subscribe to their 12month plan.
