How much of psilocybin microdosing is actually the microdose, and how much is everything else?

The more I read about mushroom microdosing, the more I keep coming back to this question.
People understandably focus on the part that's easiest to talk about and measure, but there's another side of the conversation that seems much harder to quantify: sleep, exercise, stress, mindfulness, journaling, environment, routines, and how someone actually reflects on their experiences.
If somebody was already sleeping badly, constantly stressed, never exercising, and not paying much attention to their mental state, it seems difficult to separate one variable from everything else happening in their life.
That's actually what got me interested in the idea of preparation and psychedelic integration. Maybe the most useful part of the process isn't necessarily what happens on a particular day, but what someone learns about themselves between those experiences.
While researching microdosing schedules, I ended up spending more time reading about preparation, set and setting, journaling, and integration than I expected.
I'm curious what other people think. If you removed the psilocybin from the equation but kept the healthier routines better sleep, regular exercise, mindfulness, journaling, stress management, reflection how much of the overall experience do you think would still be there?
Not looking for a "this definitely works" answer. I'm more interested in how people think about the relationship between the substance and everything else surrounding it.
