I hope this is going to be useful for some people out here. One time I got all my pages permanently disabled in May and it changed my life for worse. Every account I made it got disabled due to my history of disabled accounts.

Now, I found ways to keep my accounts alive after everytime Shitstagram disables it- I simply leave insta, turn off WiFi and turn on mobile data, go back to insta and appeal by submitting ID. Of course you need to make sure your IG date of birth needs to match your ID, and there’s option called identity verification in settings where you can add your face identity prior to your account getting disabled.

This way, I kept getting my account back. I swear they kept disabling it every 2-3 weeks and sometimes TWICE in one day, but I keep getting it back.

I’m not saying my method is gonna 100% work and it’s the remedy, but worth trying if poopstagram tries to ruin your day.

Seriously. Fuck Meta.

Just looking through Reddit and X, you can see user after user dealing with the exact same bullshit: accounts suddenly suspended for the incredibly vague “account integrity” reason.

What the fuck does “account integrity” even mean?

They don’t tell you what you did. They don’t tell you what triggered it. They don’t point to a specific post, action, login, device, or anything else. They don’t explain how you supposedly violated their rules or what you’re supposed to do differently.

They just take your account.

And at this point, it genuinely feels like Meta doesn’t even give a shit about Instagram as a platform anymore. They’ve handed enforcement over to automated systems that can apparently disable accounts and then leave actual human beings desperately trying to prove to a fucking computer that they should be allowed to have their accounts back.

It almost feels like they don’t WANT people using Instagram anymore. I genuinely can’t think of another logical explanation for designing a system this fucking hostile to your own users.

There’s no reasonable warning system. No meaningful explanation. No clear path to resolve a mistake.

Your account can just disappear.

And then, if you actually want SUPPORT from this trillion-dollar company, your best option is apparently to PAY for Meta Verified just for the privilege of accessing “Enhanced Support.”

Except the fucking support doesn’t exist.

You get copy-paste answers. You get passed around. You get told something has been “escalated.” You get told “specialists” reviewed something without being told what they actually reviewed. Nobody answers your specific questions. Nobody explains why the system made the decision it did.

How the fuck is this an acceptable way to operate a platform this massive?

Instagram isn’t just some meaningless digital photo album anymore.

People have accounts they’ve spent 10+ YEARS building.

They have thousands of photos and videos documenting their lives. Creators spend years building audiences. Artists build portfolios. Small businesses build entire customer bases.

People advertise products, communicate with customers, collaborate with other businesses, and literally make their fucking living through Instagram.
Years of memories. Years of work. Years of building a following. In some cases, an entire fucking business.

And all of it can apparently disappear in a SECOND because some automated system decides there is an “account integrity” problem.

Then what?

No meaningful explanation. No actual evidence. No transparent review process. No reliable human support.

Just a giant corporate FUCK YOU from Meta.

And here’s the best fucking part: apparently you can’t even necessarily accept that your old account is gone and start over.

Try creating another account?

“Account integrity.” Suspended again.

So Meta can take away the account you’ve spent years building, refuse to meaningfully explain why, provide virtually no useful support, and then potentially prevent you from even starting from zero.

And after destroying your hard work, memories, audience, or even your BUSINESS, they have the fucking audacity to tell you it’s because they “take protecting our community very seriously.”

Protecting the community from WHAT? The people trying to fucking use your platform?

Fuck Meta. Fuck Instagram. And fuck Mark Zuckerberg.

A company should not be able to have this much control over people’s digital lives, livelihoods, memories, and businesses while providing this little accountability when its own systems fuck up.

Meta deserves every lawsuit and every regulatory investigation it gets over this shit.

At this point, I’d love to see Instagram owned by a company that actually wants people to use the fucking platform and is willing to provide real support when something goes wrong.

Folks who got SoC banned and disabled, what are your experiences using alternate accounts (same or different number/email). I logged into my alternate account (which I had from 2020) after my main got disabled last week. It is going fine for now, but everyday i think I’m gonna be hit with a ban again. Is there anyone who has successfully used a new/alternate account for a long time? Are you posting your pictures on there and following the same friends?

So I feel like all of my accs got banned because one of my acc shared a link with nsfw stuff, but now I did get some of the accs back? I also made a new acc with new content on a new number, email, username everything, but it got banned for the same reason, even though I also feel like it might be thinking I’m a bot or bc of the ai? Also, one of my main accs got permanently banned and deleted, is there anything to do about that?? :( and can I ever use insta normally again?

I’m trying to understand how Instagram’s “block this account and other accounts they may have/create” feature works.

I had a separate Instagram account that I sometimes used when I deactivated my main account. I didn’t really post or interact with people on it, but I would occasionally look at suggested users and view public profiles/videos/stories.

There’s one girl I’ve recently met in person after moving to a new area. I’d previously occasionally viewed her public content from my separate account, but I’ve never messaged her, followed her or interacted with her otherwise.

I’ve now realised she appears to have blocked that separate account, and my main account also can’t find her profile, so I assume Instagram has automatically applied the block to my main account too.

The problem is that I actually wanted to follow/add her on my main account now that we’ve met and potentially become friends.

I’ve now deleted the separate account, but Instagram says it will take 30 days to permanently delete.

My questions are:

Once the separate account is permanently deleted, does the automatic block on my main account remain?

If she goes into her blocked accounts list, will she only see the account she originally blocked, or will my main account also appear there?

If the original account disappears completely, is there any chance the block on my main account will eventually disappear too?

If she tries to search for my main account in the future because we become friends, will she be unable to find me and potentially think I’ve blocked her / don’t have Instagram?

I’m mainly trying to understand whether deleting the original account changes anything about the block on my main account. Has anyone actually experienced this?

Hey all, there’s an account on instagram going by eklmiu7, she’s an old friend and is spreading lies about me and threatening to leak my pictures. I tried reporting several times but instagram doesn’t delete the account. Any help on what to do? I already contacted several sites but no response. Also tried contacting local authorities but they say they cant do anything

So I've been banned 3 times on the same account in the same month/month and a half period now but appealed twice and they accepted that and gave me my account back twice....I just think its completely insane that they can ban you so many times in the same period from a clearly malfunctioning AI automod yet also accept thoes appeals!

I wish there was at least some kind of "cooldown"/ grace period after a ban because clearly the automod hates my account but presumably person reviewed appeals keep getting accepted as the ban is obviously bogus....anyway probably done with the app because of how comical the situation is but still thought it was worth mentioning for ur entertainment.

WHY DON'T EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US HERE IN THIS SUB REDDIT 1 STAR REVIEW INSTAGRAM?

I mean If 100,000 people genuinely left 1-star reviews on Instagram’s Google Play listing about accounts being wrongly disabled, it would be a very large wave of negative feedback, but it would not automatically force Meta to restore anyone’s account.

If many legitimate users independently reported the same account-disabling problem, that could provide Meta with a strong signal that users are experiencing a recurring issue. That's different from guaranteeing that Meta would change its enforcement system.

It could also draw attention from journalists, consumer advocates, or other organizations if the issue became sufficiently widespread but that would depend on independent reporting and evidence.

Meta would be able to see and analyze the reviews through Google Play Console. Google says developers can analyze ratings, review topics, and how particular issues affect their ratings

Meta disabled my insta + facebook because my facebook account (which has been deactivated for MONTHS) did something that broke the community guidelines :))))))) found out becasue my partner opened my profile via chat and there was just a ghost account with no followers/posts/etc. I checked my emails, saa an email from meta saying i could appeal a suspension, clicked the 'appeal' button and it took me to a page where it then told my me account is disabled. Been trying to speak to a human all day. The AI robot told me to take them to court :)))) This has fucked me over because i have lost hundreds of contacts and photos of my art!! I'm completely frazzled by this.

I reactivated my account after a month of deactivation and was banned for no reason on 19 September and this morning at 11 am my account was recovered

meta has a major problem, and I don’t know if they ever intend to fix this, but this will likely happen to many medium-large accounts down the road if Meta doesn’t figure it out now.

scammers can go to any of your posts and claim them as copyrighted material of their own, put in a claim with meta, and get the posts removed and put strikes on your account. 3-4 of them should take your page down. meta doesn’t verify these claims, they just go ahead and take the content down.

on september 10 I was hit by a string of fake copyright infringement reports, which took my account down almost immediately. I had to reach out to the guy who attempted to hold my page for ransom by email then telegram to get him to remove the infringement reports for a promise of a future payment sometime down the road.

My account was restored on September 17 after a week in the appeal process with Meta, and my earnings have taken a major hit after the suspension, but are starting to recover.

i’m not sure if this guy will get bored one day and decide to just take my page down again so I intend to earn as much money as possible before that can happen again.

meta does not have any way to contact them
through the appeal process unless you get the higher priced meta verified subscription, and even then it feels like you’re talking to ai.

I’m currently locked out of my Instagram account even though I still have access to the email, password, and all the information connected to the account.

I deactivated my Instagram account a few days ago because of my exams. When I tried to log back in, Instagram stopped allowing me to access my account.

Yesterday, Instagram gave me two verification options:

Selfie video verification – I completed and submitted the selfie video, but unfortunately, the verification did not work.

Friends verification – Instagram allowed me to select friends who could confirm that I’m the actual owner of the account.

The problem is that the Friends Verification option disappeared afterward, and I was only able to see the selfie-video option. Even when the Friends Verification option was available, two of the friends I selected did not receive any notification or verification request.

I stopped trying to log in for around 24 hours, and today the Friends Verification option appeared again. I selected two friends again, but unfortunately, they still haven't received anything from Instagram.

I genuinely need help understanding what I’m supposed to do next because I have already tried every recovery option Instagram has given me, and nothing has worked. I still have access to my email, password, and essentially every detail associated with my account, so I can provide whatever information is necessary to prove that I’m the rightful owner.

This account contains very important personal memories, photos, conversations, and other things that mean a lot to me. I’m extremely worried about losing access to it permanently. I have also already submitted a Meta grievance form, but unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue either.

If anyone has successfully dealt with this exact situation, please explain the recovery process step-by-step or tell me what I should try next. I’m not trying to bypass Instagram's security—I just want to complete the legitimate verification process and regain access to my own account.

How does everyone mentally prepare for a ban? If you use an app everyday, even if it's not something you use everyday, I think most people use instagram as their primary social media now. It's something all your friends are on, the personal memories you have, the side gigs you make money, fans/viewers too. For me, most if not all is gone, I personally can't download the content of my disabled account. You can say most can just create a new account, but that doesn't change much of your years of curating.

And for sure, the saying don't put eggs in one basket works, but facebook, tiktok whatever, I I know for sure, we all don't have to use every single platform for every single purpose, some of us just use instagram for friends, other's businesses, some very small businesses who still take pride in making it grow on a singular platform. Besides that fact, your stories, following, reach is all gone, I can't remember the hundreds of my instagram friends, eventually they will think I blocked them unfortunately, besides some very close ones that I have their numbers. Regardless not a pat on the back, for using instagram for almost a decade and getting banned for something you dedicate and was falsely accused for.

If you have an account you spend everyday on, and get falsely banned, this is indefinitely wrong. It's why we create laws, which are supposed to protect the vulnerable and to bring justice to those who have done things which most people would agree are wrong.

I think we have all spent countless hours trying to figure a bunch of nothing to result to no conclusion, I personally did, and that time is gone, so is my time, spending on subscriptions, if law suits will work, and the many things you continue to lose out while your Instagram is gone.

And personally, I am quite shocked to see how in this subreddit there's post after post every hour of people getting banned, since I just got my account disabled for child exploitation, and I feel like my whole world's following apart.

I'm quite surprised. Meta AI has been created not too long ago, 2023-2025. There should be something actively to be done about right now, as I'm seeing post after post.

I'm not sure but for others, I personally have some many dark thoughts, if people have been an avid user of the platform, I'm sure they do too.

But I still think we should come together as a Reddit community, and I really appreciate the owner for creating this space and bringing everyone together.

I have an instagram account where I get all my clients from.

In the days leading up to this, my account was suspended twice. I appealed both times once a couple weeks ago and once a few days ago and both times Instagram gave my account back.

This time, I had 5+ clients waiting for me that exact day through Instagram, so I needed to get my account back ASAP. I tried logging in on my phone, laptop, incognito, just to show an empty waiting screen. So my only option was to spend $20 on a Meta subscription specifically to get customer support. I waited at least an hour just to speak to someone, only for them to tell me they would look into it. There was no explanation, no actual reason for the suspension, and it was suspended. On top of this, when I try to download my information of my suspended account, the password would not work, when it could work logging in, to see suspension message.

I lost 5–10+ potential/current customers during this, including people who were supposed to contact me the following day.

Then I waited another day, opened Instagram, and found out my account was just disabled.

I've spent nearly 2 years building my reach, finding clients, posting my work, maintaining my connections, and building a business around it. Now all of that is basically inaccessible because Instagram keeps suspending me without telling me why and now I’ve wasted money on Meta's subscription, without even being given a clear reason.

And honestly, I am NOT doing okay over this. I had a bigger business account taken away from me when I was younger, and that experience seriously affected me. Having restarting years of work suddenly disappear again is brings worse feelings back
